So what's actually being done currently? Because it's Tuesday now and we still really don't have any indication of when the queue system is coming or when stock might be coming back in, daily communication on things would be nice tbh.

Nvidias response to the stock situation told us nothing so I don't understand how that's relevant, especially when FE cards aren't even sold on OC, what are the third parties saying? Have we had updates from Asus?
Asus NA said this week/beginning of next week. Some youtubers or reviewers got hands on ROG STRIX 3080 : https://www.instagram.com/p/CFcAJvQJSAH/?igshid=1x4tu2wza364p see there.
I ordered one and the retailer told me they are supposed to receive a batch september 25, so in three days, to dispatch them right after, allowing people to get them monday 28

Is that in the UK though? This is the other issue, where are Asus going to allocate these GPUs first? How many is each retailer going to get? What market will get what share? These are all things that need to be asked because from what I see, America is the priority for a lot of companies.

The problem is though, will it be days? Weeks? Thing is, when people have paid money for the product I think it's fairly reasonable to expect frequent updates.
No one knows, thats the issue everyone is dealing with, Customers, Gibbo, OCUK as a whole. No one knows the full extent of the situation but from what I can see they're making the best of it. You're free to cancel your order at any time but if you don't want to then your money is safe while you wait to reach the top of the queue. I don't really understand what they could do better, they cant create stock out of thin air

Never understand how people get picked, does he do major commentating? Just all of his socials are so small, largest is his twitch following at 1k.

Problem i see for the 3090FE is that they may be cooler but they have exactly the same power max as the 3080 so they may not boost to anything like as high as the 3080 never mind any overclocking room. The 3090 FE really should have had more than one 12 pin power connector.

Some AIB 3090s are 410W. I am sure some later ones will be 500W beasts.

Wonder how well the perf per watt would hold up at 500w, hope some reviewers get given AIBs 3090 with that increased power limit.
Will be interesting to see how well it shines while its not being held back but still doubt we'll be surprised at its performance.

This.

I'd prefer even a weekly update over a daily post saying "yeah your card isn't here yet".

Nvidia have a lot to answer for - but hammering people like OC when it's largely out of their hands (lessons to be learnt regarding website functionality aside) makes no sense to me

What I am saying is, are companies like Asus being communicated with? If so what have they said?

I feel like OC could do a better job of communicating what is going on behind the scenes, like have they spoken to these companies? Have they made OC aware of when the next shipments are coming out or do they even know themselves?

If we had this sort of information as customers it would make things a lot easier for people, even if it's bad news, something is better than nothing.

Gibbo said on Monday they sorting something out for queue positions etc. He said give them a few days.

@Gibbo literally has covered all of these points. He spoke to partners, he's said which small deliveries are being made, he's even said based on forum feedback they're looking into making a queue position feature for orders.

What more can he realistically do? Are these guys not busy enough already without having to write up the notes of their meetings for us to read?

Business Expense it, I was so tempted to in all honesty and if I used CUDA way more in anything I do I would 100% do it.
The FE 3090 is lackluster, AIB might be way better, the FE 3090 the clock speeds from the leaks look disappointed paired with temperature considering its such a beefy cooler. Think the clocks might be a decent chunk better if other coolers can tame its heat better.

Wouldn't be surprised if with AIBs we see a 15~20% performance gain in games rather than 10% but even then its a meh result.

Is it 1799 worth it for an AIB? As that's the pricing ASUS, and EVGA want for their Strix, and Gaming models.

As far as I'm counting, we've been getting daily communication bar Sunday. It's not exactly the end of the day, daily doesn't mean 9am sharp. Give it time. And, as others have said, most of your points have been answered.
