The queue calculator says im around 2500 in line for a tuf gaming gpu and im thinking about cancelling. Can someone please try and give me an estimate on how many weeks/months ill be waiting until my 3080 arrives? Any answer would be much appreciated.

Nobody knows really, even OC are in the dark about stock, so literally any answer you get is going to be pure speculation. The only vague insight we have is that the early signs have indicated that if you ordered after 4pm, you could be looking to November+ for delivery, but even that is based on broad info from suppliers, not any specific timelines given
 
It's basically going to be when it is going to be, that this gets resolved.

Soon we can add 3090s to the pile and then 3070s. Oh and throw Navi into the mix and it will be an interesting ride. Order slots will be primed with buyers and suppliers will know they have demand. I expect it next comes down to can Nvidia/Samsung provide the GPUs and which AIBs can churn out the most to win.

Just know that day one orders are in at the start of the queue, which is the tip of a likely iceberg. Imagine how many will want a 3070.. "orders, orders for days!"

I don't want/need a 3090 but I will be throwing down on 3070s for others in my family.

We should be getting an official one eventually, hopefully this week (I'm kinda expecting late next week but don't really care, happy they decided to make it). Even if it was pointless in your opinion it gave insight for some people making them to decide not to cancel their order and for some others to cancel and to wait for the leaked 20gb variant.
When the official one releases we can really dig into how inaccurate or accurate it was, I expect it to be more accurate for the first hour or two than after that window curious if cancellations skewed things as well.
 
I ordered a Palit but haven't had an update today - anyone know how quickly the order status / email generally goes out? On the 17th it was much later but that's obviously atypical, and I haven't changed my pc since I bought a 1080 from OCUK in May 2016!

There was a video done where they actually did their benchmarks using a 7700k I believe to see if indeed people with an older CPU would be bottle necked.
I remember the results looking pretty good to me though, I'll try and find the video if I can just can't recall who it was

Well they only got 5 cards in today so if you haven't received a notice by now, chances are you wasn't one of the lucky 5.

I think I misunderstood, someone said they had an ETA of October 31st or something. But hell, if next week I've got a 3080, I won't complain. Let's hope the delay is because they shipped a bigger quantity via freight.
