Yup. They are just as bad as people buying them and flogging on eBay at inflated prices. In fact I think when a company does it it's worse.

Exactly, huge gamble. But ASUS aren't exactly giving reliable information on stock, that's the biggest issue here, Palit are at least telling people when stock is coming in.
Thats my concern, the prices just keep going up and probably wont go back to RRP until 4000 series imminent.
Either way I’m glad a ordered the TUF as I’m restricted by the length of the 3080s so didn’t have much choice.
I had a chat with the ASUS rep before launch and he said he would be trying to get OCUK as much stock as he could. So fingers crossed.
Every order I have placed with OCUK on my lloyds debit card, lloyds blocked payment for fraud, but not any other retailer has this problem, its odd. It also doesnt get blocked if I pay via amazon payments on the card.
Just got off the phone to OcUK, really helpful lad. He said the queue figures should be emailed out to everyone tonight apparently. But just waiting to process a bunch more cancellations, presumably so everyone gets fairly accurate queue numbers.
Also said the 3080 total orders are a few thousand less than said here, so maybe 6-7k at most not 10-12k. Said the Asus, Gigabyte Eagle and MSI cards are most popular - queues overall are approx 1700 Asus, 1300 GB Eagle and 1700 MSI right now...
Palit/Zotac seem best atm getting stock to them. Today had approx 38 Zotac cards, 41 Palit (38 normals, only 3 oc models) and getting fairly daily deliveries.
Think he also mentioned getting 300+ MSI cards soon as well? Not sure if I misheard that, but pretty sure what's what he said.

. Thanks for informative postI have this issue with Starling Bank. I have to contact Customer Services, and wait about an hour for them to authorise OCUK for the next 24 hrs. I give in in the end, and use PayPal which has my debit card attached.

Hhhmmm, anyone know if that Zotac AMP Holo is a reference design? I need a card which will eventually get a water block.
Are there any more GamingPro OC cards coming in this week? Someone mentioned that they only received 3 GamingPro OC cards in today's shipment which is a little low. But at least this means I can go up a little on the queue.
I'm going to try and ask Palit about their shipments dates before I decide to pull the trigger on an intermediary GPU while I wait. A month on HD graphics is more than I bargained for.

Is it a breach of contract? I told them it was and if they kept doing it i would void any debt i had but i am not sure. Basically they gave me a 2k balance that i can only use if i call daddy and ask if i can make a purchase.
If i buy a 500 card from ocuk, They block the card and i have to ring them up. Indeed we made a 40 mile trip to buy a laptop and they also cancelled it at the checkout. The staff said it had been declined so i had to call them.
Surely the agreement is being void?
Aha so that's what happened, I was estimated 7th in queue so I was wondering why I didn't get mine shipped today. Let me know if u find anything out about how long we have to wait to get one.
