looking at how many asus have come in so far and how many asus pre orders there are, unless you are near the front of the queue and with palit sending more cards every day to the Uk, unless 100s haev already jumped on the Palit pre-order - probably yes.
Gotta get that profit for the Christmas party, at this point everyone attending will be getting a gift bag with a £1000 phone in it.
It wasn't a paper launch though, so what's your point?
How many do you think have jumped ship already? That's the issue, everyone has probably already read that and preordered like hell.

Yup. They are just as bad as people buying them and flogging on eBay at inflated prices. In fact I think when a company does it it's worse.I see OCUK have raised the price of the Asus TUF 3080 non OC to £720.
Nice one, well done.
A cool £70 over RRP, sterling must be really tanking hard now.
Overclockers are expected to get OC Strix stock late this week... How many is a different conversationThis is my concern, Asus are radio silent on the issue essentially and everyone wants a TUF, plus they seem more interested in the American market which doesn't bode well for numbers here.
Yeah that nobody knows except ocuk. I mean 500 people could have jumped from Asus to Palit and if you jump now you might be way way at the back of queue.

Either way I’m glad a ordered the TUF as I’m restricted by the length of the 3080s so didn’t have much choice. This is my concern, Asus are radio silent on the issue essentially and everyone wants a TUF, plus they seem more interested in the American market which doesn't bode well for numbers here.
Ive jst called in OCUK, I tried to order last night, but i got these tex messages from the bank saying they blocked my card so OCUK cancelled my order so ive about 150 places down in the que haha
Anyways they said that the asus cards has a backlog of 450-500 orders, and they get around 10-20 in stock per day (different brands), if your saying there is a back log of 6-7000 orders altogether and specific asus cards of 500 then the wait will be very long indeed.
Also apparently EVGA prioritise stock with the USA 1st and Europe second, which means Evga cards will take a very long time till they are made available.
Got a feeling we wont see it till xmas is done.
Just got off the phone to OcUK, really helpful lad. He said the queue figures should be emailed out to everyone tonight apparently. But just waiting to process a bunch more cancellations, presumably so everyone gets fairly accurate queue numbers.
Also said the 3080 total orders are a few thousand less than said here, so maybe 6-7k at most not 10-12k. Said the Asus, Gigabyte Eagle and MSI cards are most popular - queues overall are approx 1700 Asus, 1300 GB Eagle and 1700 MSI right now...
Palit/Zotac seem best atm getting stock to them. Today had approx 38 Zotac cards, 41 Palit (38 normals, only 3 oc models) and getting fairly daily deliveries.
Think he also mentioned getting 300+ MSI cards soon as well? Not sure if I misheard that, but pretty sure what's what he said.
Every order I have placed with OCUK on my lloyds debit card, lloyds blocked payment for fraud, but not any other retailer has this problem, its odd. It also doesnt get blocked if I pay via amazon payments on the card.
I have this issue with Starling Bank. I have to contact Customer Services, and wait about an hour for them to authorise OCUK for the next 24 hrs. I give in in the end, and use PayPal which has my debit card attached.
Are there any more GamingPro OC cards coming in this week? Someone mentioned that they only received 3 GamingPro OC cards in today's shipment which is a little low. But at least this means I can go up a little on the queue.
I'm going to try and ask Palit about their shipments dates before I decide to pull the trigger on an intermediary GPU while I wait. A month on HD graphics is more than I bargained for.
