192-bit interface with GDDR6 is too narrow to provide enough throughput and communication between the GPU, its memory and the CPU.
Unless these new cards have some magic sauce, aka GameCache, I don't see them doing well enough.

It depends on how efficient AMD is at using memory bandwidth - AMD is still a bit behind Nvidia in this regard AFAIK.

RX 5700 XT is considered "memory starved".

It's kind of concerning that once clocks are equalised, the XT's 11% more CUs are only good for 3-4% more performance

The big rumour of the last week or so was around something special for memory bandwidth. RedGamingTech started it, hinting at something called InfinityCache involving an ungodly amount of L4 Cache but Not An Apple Fan seemed to be hinting that it may be more similar to what the PS5/Xbox are doing and it'll utilise PCI-E 4's bandwidth which isn't being taxed even by the 3080 yet.

It's going to be a long month waiting!
