Remember it's just a gpu.

Some of us have waited years for a suitable upgrade (980ti), skipped 1080ti (Getting older so don't game as much as use to) and were badly let down by 2000 series. I'm shocked people here with 2080/2080s/2080ti are bothered buying these new cards and not skipping a round. My 980ti seems to handle 1440p fine in most things I play with ultra/high settings. It's no wonder Nvidia and Apple are so rich, people lap the **** up regardless if they need it no matter what the cost and prob half of them are well behind on credit card bills, unsecured loans and maybe mortgage repayments (or perhaps it's just the tools I have to talk to daily about paying for a roof over their head rather than the next luxury item).

I really want a 3070 or 3080 but ive waited like 3-4 years so I guess I'll wait a little longer til stock available. Theres people here who have already had a gtx1080ti and then 2080/2080s/2080ti and now crying they can't get the next card now now now. I'm all up for enthuisam but comon...

As some who have already managed to get hold of this card have said, when the excitement wears off they realise it's just another gpu which gives them a few frames more on games they could already play very very comfortably and that's probably true for the next few years. Ive been there and im sure most of you guys have to. Lets chill. #staysafe #washhands #controlthevirus.
Couldnt agree more here, its good to put some things in to perspective. But.... with everything thats going on in the world its nice to have something to look forward to and focus on thats not depressing ****** news on the daily!

To a point, yes, but I have built a PC for the first time since 2008 and have all the components but the gpu. Sure, I have put in my 8500GT with 256mb ram but it’s such a potato it is unusable. If I had a semi recent gpu to hand then I would agree with you.

Get this: I'm going to be coming from a laptop with a 940m and 6700U. Temporary, you might think, but actually the laptop I used before this for five years contained a 970m with a 6700HQ... However, even after repasting and cleaning and removing dust several times, any time I tried a game with a bit of CPU demand it would melt and shut down. So it is safe to say I am very eager to go from my humble 5 year old gaming laptop and enter back into the world of desktops with a 10700K build which is at this point only waiting on that Eagle to land. Really can't wait for this card to arrive! Hope everyone has much luck getting theirs - I know I am eagerly awaiting replaying the RDR2 campaign on a nice 1440p 144hz monitor!

R.I.P Eagle folks... mid October new expectation for 50+ in the unofficial queue haha

This feels like surely what anybody was expecting anyway? I know a lot of people (including myself) picked the Eagle cos it said the 23rd as the Pre-order date, but it became clear pretty early on that those dates were utterly meaningless, so I always assumed we'd start seeing them next week/mid October

Part of me feels tempted to try and rearrange for the Palit, but I feel like there was probably a purple patch of that being worthwhile that has probably gone now, and I am not even bothered about getting it asap :D

If you have an intel processor could run the integrated graphics for now?

Although frustrated by assuming there was stock available when placing an order it's only a GPU. I'm waiting for the Ryzen 4000-series before building anyway and as long as I have all the parts before Cyberpunk 2077 (19th November) I am happy. I hope the speculated 3rd October Ryzen release is correct.

Damn straight, I should be on a month long holiday in Japan right now so this new PC build was my consolation prize, now got to wait God knows how long to complete the build. 980ti and 4790k will have to hold out a while longer.

Absolutely. Was just lucky enough to order pre-14:30 but then I realized how many orders still went in before me and quickly lowered my expectations haha

I’m waiting for ryzen too, I’ve heard rumours of it releasing at the end of October and I’m hoping they’re incorrect

Even the bottom of the queue for a Palit is still probably about 2000 less than the TUF or MSI.

I wouldn’t care so much if a) the money wasn’t just gone from my account and b) it’s going to be sitting in a retailers account for weeks, probably months.

By contrast I ordered a PS5 from two other retailers (hedging my bets) and neither have taken any money and won’t until shortly before dispatch. That order process, whilst challenging, was nowhere near as hopeless as trying to order one of these cards was.

It’s not a small amount of money to just vanish from your account.

Is what it is, if you want a refund you can get one easy. Ocuk have superb customer service.

also if you PlayStation I don’t really see the crossover. I could never game on a console.

We're literally sitting around having a discussion about delivery schedules that another company released while hearing nothing from this one, other than Americans can no longer pre order and some Palit cards got shipped a few days ago.
Been with ocuk 14 years. If you want a 3080 wait. If you don’t like then cancel? It’s ok ocuk is no quibble. What you chose will effect how long you wait. Ocuk don’t make the cards.

Yeah, I know, this is what I have been saying all day, yet some consider this great customer service?

On the flipside, prices are raising further and further away from MSRP, so at least you're locked into a price
