Can someone explain to me why the exchange rate ONLY affects the new GPUs and not every other computer component made in the East? Don't see the CPU prices fluctuating daily......

Because they don't actually have them in stock so they are trying to buy them from distributors I guess.

Would be nice but so far we're only being given meaningless information like what cards have been dispatched, which to those people with those cards, they'd know that already. Unless it's a day notice, OC aren't doing anything to give information about the future regarding any cards - or so it has been so far.

I'm a layman but some sort of noobSQL would do this:

Select * From OutStanding_Orders where ProductID Contains "MSI Trio X"
Order By DateOrdered

Now all you do is lookup an order number and you've got it's position in the queue.... Surely a noob could knock this together in about half a day. The guy who wrote the unofficial queue estimator had more work to do.

If they've had 10,000 orders however it's probably gonna leave people feeling very miffed when they find out their true queue position means they'll be getting stuff in 2021.

They have had a week to get something sorted and other than a few little bits of information like a little or small of this and that has arrived we haven't had much to go on.

OCUK should be sharing much more information with us considering we have lined there pockets with millions of £.

Still nothing from MSI :o:o
Might cancel soon and see what AMD has, hype is wearing off and the more I think about it no game actually needs the power yet. Well maybe a handful like Control and metro exodus but already played them a year ago.
Ray traced cyberpunk is the main one that comes to mind for me, I dont see much else being capable of handling that at high resolutions and framerates

The "unofficial" queue guesstimater is probably abused too and wildly inaccurate as a result. Example: Someone hasn't ordered yet and wants to see how soon he is likely to get a certain card to help him (or her) figure which one is best to order, so goes on here, gets the most recent order # he/she can see in this forum, then uses that plus a few more numbers added, then selects the card he/she wants to find details on. He has just added to the unofficial queue for that card. I bet this happens A LOT. This added to the amount of customers who simply haven't bothered at all with this "queue" means the figures are more than likely to be massively out. It was a good idea by whoever made it, but it cannot possibly be anywhere near accurate.

@Gibbo could you give us any info on how many of each card had already been delivered to customers? This would help people understand there position in the unofficial queue until you and your team give us something more official.

For me example the unofficial queue for X trio says I'm around 87 place knowing how many you have already sent out would be a peace of mind that my number has gone down.

I like this idea. Would be very simple for them to say as of close of business yesterday we have shipped x amount of Gigabyte Eagles, Zotac etc etc.

Hopefully they see your reply and do post this information up as atleast we would have an idea how bad (or good) things actually are rather than all of this speculation.

Just think we as customers need more info than we have been getting. I understand they are busy but I would never treat my customers this way.

Yeah I wouldn't pay any attention to the unofficial list either.

Yeah that's originally why I ordered the card.. but the more I dwell on it £650 for one game is a bit mad :D
I'll leave my order in for now since £650 I've got it for is decent as they're going for well over that now, but if the cards are not here by October might aswell wait and see what AMD has.

Yeah, I wouldn't trust it's accuracy either. Also, bear in mind that cancellations/shipped cards aren't accounted for in that calculator, so it's probably quite off now

I was going to say "but they don't need to add a card to get an estimate from a made up order number", but given some of the questions we've been getting in here I can totally see someone thinking they would. Sigh.

Does anyone know what the status is on MSI? Seems to be very little info from MSI reps on supplies to different regions. Kinda worrying seeing as ASUS,EVGA and others are keeping folks updated on social media.

At this point it's becoming borderline irresponsible of OcUk to not provide us with accurate numbers. With a guestimation of 14,000 orders at a RRP of £650, that's over £9million in our cash sitting in their account gathering interest, meanwhile all we're asking for is SOME kind of official queue position, does £9million not warrant a little more effort on their part? Shambolic launch, very disappointed now in OcUk.

Edit: I don't care if I'm 300th down the list, at least I'd know and could then make an informed decision on what I want to do next...

Wouldn't we love to know! With brexit and covid, I'm sure they will all have plenty of excuses for this mess!
