I keep seeing this formula being copy pasted and a bit confused on why you're dividing by "knownBuyers". All it should be is (YourOrderNumber - StartingOrderNumber)*CardTypePercentage, where the percentage is written as a decimal (i.e. 10% would be 0.1).

To automate it correctly the cardType had to be changed to the number of cards within the spreadsheet.

((yourOrderNumber - 5860140) / knownBuyers) * numOfSameTypeCards

Works exactly the same except it is now very quick to up

I dont think the order rate was linear - especially in the early few hours due to site locks ups - I think the begining was slower than we might imagine. So Im hoping im more 50-100.

The calculators model doesn't actually need it to be linear (I assume that is why it went with order number, rather than time), just that most orders were 3080s.

The graphs show it wasn't linear, but I think we have a large enough data set to assume they aren't completely inaccurate and models the rate of purchases reasonably accurately (or at least for my definition of reasonable... I'd still give it 25% either side of the numbers). You can see the times the site kinda worked, and then the flat sections when it completely didn't.

Its the one @DEADMONSTOR said he is using. Honestly, it isn't the one I've been using to guesstimate positions (I don't trust the newer submissions, since more recent orders won't follow the early pattern now we have more info, so they'll just skew the data), and not knowing exactly what number he is using for the knownBuyers or CardTypePercentage, and what the code it to calculate them, I haven't bothered checking how accurate it would be.

I spoke with the ASUS rep before launch, he said this “ we will be constantly bringing in new stock so it hopefully will get fulfilled soon.“

Not sure when this constant stock may start though.
Sounds promising, means that airfreighting as much as they can.
Remember, Asus etc dont get anymoney until they deliver something.

I cancelled a Palit 3080 Gaming Pro standard yesterday that I ordered the day after launch.

Instead I ordered an in-stock Gigabyte 3080 Gaming OC from OCUK as they had some set aside for builds. I had to buy a whole system to get it, but I was planning to upgrade my 6 year old 4970k build anyway.

Oh I never knew that. Due to the amount of TUFs, hopefully we may have a shipment on it’s way with larger quantities to fulfil a large amount of orders.

It was a general statement, they may be a down payment etc but what I mean is, if someone doesn't deliver, its not long until they getting nothing. ASUS etc needs to move stock.
