so with all this garbage about exchange rates, how come the MSI 3090 Gaming was £200 cheaper on Scan ( with a delivery date of the 5th Oct ) than on OC?
 
seems to me that there aren't deliveries coming through at the moment... been a while since anyone posted that their order status changed. Roll on 30th!

Clearly both missed a trick. You can't even tell what's OOS... Everything was intentionally set to pre-order. So no one knows if they got one or not.

Probably down to Funds clearance then, just because you put in basket at 14:05 whatever does not mean that is your order completion time.
 
i think if anyone wanted a 3090, being loyal to OC may have cost you your chance. they were in stock for next day delivery on scan, and even now are showing a delivery date of 5th oct, and are £200 cheaper. I have no particular supplier allegiance, but do have quite a strong one to my cash
 
I am affraid i do not buy this justification to increase prices at point of sale. It feels like the retialers are going into mass scalp mode to be honest with leaves a bad taste. Other vendors have been over £100 more per card than OcUK right the way through this to make an example of the price differences i am seeing.
 
Gibbo said a few hours ago it would be pre order only, nothing was being marked as being in stock. They had some stock which he posted about in the pinned update thread

You mean what happened with the 3080 and then people got pissy when they couldn't meet the ETA? ;) History is repeating itself a week later
