Just tell us when these cards are expected in.

Especially with the amount if pre orders for the trio....The ETA of the 18th also probably convinced a lot of us to make that choice.

If it's at all interesting to you guys same as me I ordered the MSI GAMING X TRIO I ordered at 14:28 but shows 15:09 on email. And I got this email today with some info and confirming I'll get the Codes for watch dogs and Geforce now. And that they only had 5 of these cards.

Dear xxxxx,

Apologies for any confusion, your order has already been allocated a code so you'll definitely be receiving one once your order has dispatched :)

Any ETAs provided were correct, for example we had an ETA for the 18th on this card. We received stock on the 18th however only 5 units which were allocated to the first 5 customers in our pre-order queue.

Regards,

Liam F

Agreed, how has Sc*n been able to give a time for between 30th and 2nd as a date for expected shipment and OCUK can't tell us anything.

In all honesty I've seen Sc*n advertise dates in the past and been waiting on multiple pre orders only for it to get moved back and back only to have cancel and purchase elsewhere. So take that ETA with a pinch of salt I'd trust an OCUK ETA more so it would be nice to have one.

Why OC is still taking pre orders of these cards? By the way things look it is unlikely that anyone who ordered card on sarurday or sunday after launch will get these cards sooner than next year. So new pre orders wont be fulfilled till Feb - June next year. Certain retailer stopped taking pre orders because they know it will.not be possible to.fulfill these orders. Just curious, thats all.
Perhaps because they are aware that there will be a lot of cancellations even among those who ordered 17-19th as many will either give up or simple cancel because they put multiple orders with many vendors

Not sure if it's useful or not but just had an email to say that two of the three 3080 ASUS TUFs I ordered have been shipped. Also received the codes.

Selling two to pay for the third. Not selling on Ebay; that would be a disaster.

@Gibbo I am confused how this guy has successfully ordered 3 3080's of which he's had 2 shipped and there are thousands of people that can't even get their hand on one?

Was there not supposed to be systems put in place to stop scalpers and people buying more than 1?

still £200 cheaper on Scan. At the end of the day we can all see there was little justification for the price hikes but we still paid ( or chose not to ) so its all a bit irrelevant. Any item is only ever worth what people will pay for it. If you don’t like the price look elsewhere. Tracy Emien’s bed was worth millions. I could buy the constituent parts elsewhere for a few hundred quid. Your money, your choice. Its not terribly ethical but nobody is being forced to buy a GPU.

And that's the crux of it. if OCUK got 90% of that units allocation to the UK, they set the price really.

For all we know Scan got none and simply refreshed the page to OOS

Supply and demand economics.
If only it were that simple.

Consumers have long memories.... They don't like being abused. And they shop elsewhere.
Which is exactly what I have done since the price gouging, lying and basically consumer abuse with the 9900k launch.

i’ve had the same with sc*n and ended up cancelling because of it.

Because there's more retailers than just OCUK.... presumably.

i’m not sure thats true. in 6 months people will have forgotten all about this and will buy based on price.
