After seeing all the reviews I decided I wanted the Asus TUF model (just like a lot of other people) but judging my the shear amount of demand for that card, I reckon I would be lucky to get one this side of 2021.

I've seen a Zotac Trinity OC model with the expected delivery date of the 30th of October, after looking at some reviews for that card it seems like its a little slower than the FE model but it does run cooler and quieter.

Would you go for the Zotac or hold out for the Asus TUF, however long that may be?

So how would that work? I ordered a zotac on the 17th and I'm currently 103 in the unofficial calculator so certainly wouldn't expect one from the next batch... Surely if your jumping ship onto another card you should be going to the back of the queue?

I'm taking it with a pinch of salt TBH. Many other people have changed their orders to different cards, I think they must base it on the time your original order was placed so that you don't go to the back of the queue... Could be wrong tho.

Hi, long time lurker here. I've just called up CS and asked, if I was wanting to receive a 3080 sooner which card would I be best changing it to (I had a Ventus on order unofficial queue position roughly 350).

The chap I spoke to recommended the Zotak trinity OC and said I'd likely get it sent out from the first batch when they receive a delivery. Feeling a lot more hopeful now :).

I have also just done this. The guy on the phone tells me with my change of preorder to the Zotak trinity OC I am now the 20th preorder for that card, and I am also likely to get it sent out from the first batch. I am glad I saw your post :)

They will drop, just like the 980 ti, etc, everythign will shift down 100 quid when the 3070 comes out etc and once the 3080 is widely available. Thing scale perfectly price / perf with 2nd hand market.

As of right now for auctions:
100-200(980ti), 300(1080ti), 400 (1080ti,2070supers),500-600(2080 supers..2080 ti) quid brackets.

Whishful thinkg, but No. When gamers cant get a 3080, some will gravitiate to the card they swore they would never buy ''2080ti''. Retailers arent allowed to drop prices on 20 series cards, they have their orders from NV. And anyway, retailers have customers by the goolies, and their hanging on like a pitbull.
Prices for top tier cards never come down.

Everything drops given time. Once 3080 is all over the place my statement will be true.

I too would really appreciate a bit more info than this.

Really eager to get my hands on a Strix card. Always do when I can! :)
I'd love to give more specifics and exact dates but its difficult due to the length of production and shipping. I would say on all cards (including the TUF 3080 ceekay), we should see more regular shipments soon, with the quantity ramping up further in the coming weeks, but demand has been beyond everyones expectations. I'll be working closely with Nvidia and OCUK and we're doing everything we can to get more stock and fulfil authentic orders

Glad i sold my Strix 1080ti for £395, made some guy very happy. Using my trusty 1660 Super DDR6 which i have neglected. Just waiting on Zen 3, and a top tier card. Hope AMD can save the day.

And Queue all the phone calls to swap cards, This is getting way out of hand.

Feel a little happier seeing that the Rog Strix OC version used good cap design
So all brands of card are crashing at high clocks. One guy speculates it might be the caps and they then run with the clickbaity "It's probably the caps". Good grief, what a load of rubbish. Who is expecting their RRP Zotac to boost past 2GHz anyway??

Why do you care so much. The whole idea is to seize the day, not live on ''Hope/Faith/Belief/Trust'', thats all your left with, when you have nothing else, we haven't quite reached that stage yet. I take it your into 1080p gaming, and there's nothing wrong with that imo?.

Demand has been beyond everyones expectations.
See, this here is a statement that should be followed by someone being moved to another department.
The anticipation for the RTX 30xx series was well known, and market trends were clearly indicating that lots of people skipped upgrades in the previous two generations of cards, especially the RTX 20xx, because they were waiting for the series 3000. The sentence "RTX 30xx is going to be what RTX 20xx was supposed to be" was everywhere in the tech communities.

So, is this level of demand unprecedented? Definitely. Unexpected? Hell no. Whoever does your marketing research to assess what level of production you should have at launch, needs to up their game or find a new job.

YAY one less in my queue - anyone actually had a Asus Strixc OC ?? curious they said some this week but nothing since.

Don't know if anyone replied to you but there's a facebook page of someone people may know saying they expect from Monday onwards. That's the most I've heard about the rog strix.
