I hope they bring back crossfire... am yet to play some AAA dx11 titles that support it..

The only downside is that Apple fanatics will be getting back at me, atleast those that I had rubbed the wrong way :D

I think MCM is more likely than crossfire at this point. My biggest issue with crossfire was the heat. Single card for me these days :)

But unfortunately I am sitting on a rtx 2080 ti sli setup still playing dx11 games.. yet to play witcher 3.. and I am bored that I haven't made any upgrade in the past 2 years

Witcher 3 on 2080 Ti SLI will run a lot faster than even on a brand new 3090.

Enjoy your 2080 Ti cards for the next couple of months.:)

Yeah, I guess that's right, but when you read it - the poster with that attitude obviously is unable to analyse what they are saying/doing as its presenting a reason on one hand (of blame) but blindly hands over the money regardless (so they were never intending on experiencing the other brand). To boil it down, I want this brand but I want to pay the price of the lidl own, god damn you Lidl's own *shakes fist* <proceeds through checkout with Heinz ketchup.
+1:D

Basically the second highest SKU was slightly faster than a 3080. The top SKU touched the 3090.

Well with the disaster launch with faulty design and hardware from Nvidia I guess many buys the best with AMD Big Navis.
as I stated, broken samsung 8nm node due to the power requirements requires solid hardware to deal with.
Nvidia messed up big time.

Time for AMD to unleash the Kraken

That's interesting. I didn't know you needed to use VSR. I've been using Sapphire Trixx.

they're not the same, they're coming at things from a different angle aren't they?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but how I understand it is that Radeon VRS takes a 1440p resolution and downscales it to 1080p, for example, for a smoother image but uses all the processing power 1440p requires. This seems to principally be for people with 1080p or 1440p monitors, with processing power to burn, who want to scale down a 1440p or 4k image respectively.

Trixx boost does, the far more useful, upscaling of a lower resolution to a higher resolution. Which, combined with image sharpening, produces an image that's nearly as good as the full resolution but without the performance overhead of the full resolution.

Perhaps a combination of all 3 of these could produce something akin to 1440p image quality, with 1080p performance on a 1080p monitor

Sad thing us people unable to get a 3080 are actually trying to get a 3090 instead, you simply cannot make it up.

Cards failing due to bad power design, cheap components, cards clocked lower than the FE edition but sold at a higher price, literally zero stock worldwide.. This couldn't have been a worse launch from Nvidia and their partners..

But yet i still feel unfortunately AMD can still have a "Hold my beer" moment.

We all know AMD is capable of spectacular fails, i just hope this time they hit a home run

Nice find, thanks.

* Launch should be 4 cards
* Worst case its better than a 3080, unsure what price it is

See above @KentMan :D
(dont take it out on the lorry drivers!)

Lol M2, M20 and M25 down here are terrible pretty much every day, France was on strike so operation stack was engaged, which means forget trying to drive to the kent coast lol

I feel weirdly confident this time round AMD is going to deliver
