So are you saying that other companies who are divulging stock information such as ETAs are going to cause a fallout with the vendors?

I just don't understand how another company can have estimated dates of delivery and can tell people roughly what amount of stock they might be getting in via a simple webpage that's updated daily but at OCUK we have to essentially beg on a forum for information and get told to be patient, as if we aren't paying customers and it's some kind of privilege to be shopping with OCUK and we should be grateful just to get any information from you guys.

I have shopped with you guys for years and this has been, imo, the worst customer service experience I have ever had, the lack of clear and concise information after taking money from the customer is just unprofessional imo.

I appreciate that you're trying to give updates now on the forum but it's still really not saying much, it's more about how great OCUK is rather than some solid information about stock.

So I have some blunt questions to ask, hopefully you can give me a straight answer.

1. When are we likely to get a queue calculator? (Are we still getting one?)

2. Can you give an ETA on stock delivery for every brand of card (like your competitors have) so customers know when you are likely to get more cards in for shipment?

3. Can you make this information easily accessible via a webpage link that is updated daily so we no longer have to ask and beg for information that frankly, we are entitled to as paying customers?

I appreciate your response to my post but these are things I feel people really want answers to, clear answers.
+1

Cancelled my ventus from 14:45 launch day, think I will stick to AMD 6900xt or if they mess up get a decent 3080 20gb down the line.
Was already concerned about this card being hot and loud from what info is out there, no stock update and cheap capacitors are the last straw, not paying £650 for a sub par product.

That is a image of the 3080 you can clearly see it doesn't have the sli connector. And yes some places have been updating there images.
As you can see the 3090 has the sli stuff that other image is 3080 and now has 2 MLC.

And it does not matter in the end its one of things in great picture

Thing is we don't know if those were review cards that have since been revised or not. Most reviewers cards will have slight differences to final production stock. Could also be why numbers have been so low.

Actually kind of happy to be 400 odd in the queue now.

I agree with you we do not know for sure yet..but this CAPGATE along with the power connector on the Eagle is enough to say nope and wait

I think the 226 people before me in the projected queue need to cancel their Gigabyte Gaming orders. Everyone says it is the bad configuration, so I think those 226 people should show Gigabyte that it isn't acceptable and just cancel.
The 46 people in front of me in the Rog Strix OC queue should also show their solidarity and cancel - Power to the people!!

Really thinking about pulling Palit order now.
What's the point in buying a £700 gfx card if they're going to gimp it with a bios update.

**Edit** Just seen someone on here with a non OC Palit take it to stable 2200Mhz stable for most Synth tests. They have 5 apparently cheaper caps. So I'm not convinced it's the caps causing the issues here. Probably a rubbish driver from Nvidia.

Am I wrong thinking all the cards are fine at 1710mhz and these problems will only effect out the box OC and manually OC'd cards?

Yes and no. Yes they're fine at 1710MHz but Nvidia's GPU Boost likes to take them to the power limit which is causing the crashes.

Looks like Asus changed the caps on this model already, maybe even before launch as that photo on ******s website has been there since before they went on sale.

I've ordered a Gigabyte Gaming OC and that looks to have the cheaper caps but doesn't have the open back so only have Debauers teardown to go off atm.

Will definitely be keeping a close eye on this. Seems like the dedicated thread for this topic has been locked though does anyone know why?

Possibly because it will cause a wave of cancellations. :)

Thanks gets more confusing the more you look into it, the PCB design might not even be the problem, increasing numbers of FE cards and TUFs reporting similar problems now.....

Probably more to do with how power hungry these gpu's are. I'd say GPU boost is possibly set too aggressive to give the impression these cards are faster than they probably should be.

From what I've read it's going to be 2 on the MSI Trio, the higher overclock. And 1 on the Ventus slower clocked variant. That might be appropriate given it seems to be a problem when boosting dynamically to high clock speeds.

As for OCUK, I have a question. If we're shipped a card which has these crashing problems due to POSCAP/MLCCs configs (essentially hardware) would we be eligible for a full refund or replacement? And would any replacements for these parts be at the front or back of the queue?

You can always get a refund as distance selling regulations apply but I doubt their going to offer to replace the card unless it's still crashing after manufacturers have released a Bios fix.

Lian li lancool 2 mesh is a pretty good case, there's a new phanteks case that's meant to be really good as well but can't remember it's name, p400 something or another, it's got a big mesh panel at the front so shouldn't be to hard to recognise

Seconded on the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh! I've got one myself, and it's the best PC case I've ever bought! :D

31st October for restocking? Thank you kind person for this information (could you also supply source as well?) i will happily wait knowing that ^_^ i'm sure WoW shadowlands can be buggy for a few weeks on my pc till i get the card
Thats what it was said from day 1 ETA was always 31 october on those.

This post by @NikTheSHNIK yesterday seems to confirm they are working based on order time, rather than number, which seems to be based on payment processing time.
Payment processing is different to payment authorisation, so lets say you ordered at 14:45 Sept 17th can via the webshop got to the Thankyou for your order, will confirm by email shortly etc etc that is you done order complete. In the background there will be some payment and reconciliation process between the merchant (OCUK) the merchant's bank and the card issuer that can take a lot longer and the customer has zero control of that. That is probably why you are seeing people with delays in getting confirmation emails or at least part of the reason.

If OCUK are true to their word on first come first served they have to go by the time/date in your confirmation email 'Date ordered' first and fore most, anything else regarding payment processing is a false measure. Obviously when people get to see their queue position this is the figure people will compare (position vs 'Date Ordered'). OCUK will trigger a forum riot if they get this queue order wrong. If say someone ordered the same GPU at 17:00 but is ahead of some who ordered at 14:45 there is no excuse for that and that would be customer service suicide.

I'm sure @NikTheSHNIK and team are well aware of this and doing what they can to get it right.... before trying to source us a load of 32" 4K monitors :)

Eclipse P500a is the big one, out of stock everywhere and on back order I'd order one now if I were you before Zen3 launches if you want one

Its Hype Train everyone jumped on cause easy to visually see difference.
The thing that's strange is it's happening to all brands not just a select few. All of them use the same drivers from Nvidia. Let's hope things get sorted out. I'm actually more mad about not having information on shipments etc.

So ive been scrolling through these posts having a read every now and then, i ordered my strix oc 3080 on 23rd. So late to the party. I was waiting for 3090 but because of obvious reason of performance differences I opted for 3070 but got a quality one considering I already had the money for 3090.

So I know its a unanswerable question but I'm gonna try. I'd like to know roughly when they expect deliverys and what sort of quantities. I've used the que link and it says 147. But as good as the service is to tell you the que number, I'm still none the wiser to hiw long I coyld be waiting? Thanks.
So the strix OC didn't get a lot of orders initially at least - I got my order through at 2.30 on the 17 and am 47th in the unofficial queue
