Official Zotac rep underfire on Reddit with regards to the 1 - 3 % lower performance..

I think it was just the games.. Black ops 3 zombies did crash before on my rx 5700 xt but never in rage 2. Been running a metro last light benchmark for 30 mins (1440p, max settings, 99% gpu usage) and haven't ran into any issues.. 65c max with 70% fan speed (it's actually very quiet at 70%, custom fan curve)

1830mhz minimum, averages about 1875mhz and hits 1950mhz..no oc

Yeah just keep an eye on it, there's been a few reports of crashing at stock speeds, My RGB is ****** because of firestorm, Will be sending it back if they don't issue a fix within 9 days, Don't trust Zotac they left 20x series users out in the cold with the same issue.

ATM I do, It wont let me run anything under 30% with a custom fan curve. I can set it but it wont do less.
If that is specific to my card, or a general 3080 thing, I don't know.
Some of the cards like my palit will run at 0% fans some have minimum of 30%.

Also no proof of them having any of those cards. If they had the MSI Afterburner program with the OSD showing CPU usage, temp, FPS etc then I would believe it.

Mine will on default, thats what's so confusing !
So you have actually set a custom profile in afterburner with 0% below a certain temp, and once that profile is loaded it will turn off the fan ?

I would take this as a pinch of salt ! Its being reported that A Germany have over 20k pre order for this card and Zotac themselves have said its very unlikely people will get cards until nov / dec at the earlist , the more I read the more I've come to the conclusion is the reality is al ot of us are going to have a long wait to get a 3080 if we want one. I think we have more chance of getting 3090 before xmas

Not on this website but on different forums where people who are on the hunt for one have gotten the card. Not pre orders too.. Stock on different competitors has gone in at random times throughout the day (can't mention the names)

Had an email from the other.de supplier this morning.

Dur to a technical error we have had to cancel your order.
At least that decision wether to cancel has been taken away from me.

My only hope of getting a 3080 is with a pre order for a MSI Trio from another supplier. And they won’t give any idea of when stock will be fulfilled or even where i am in the pecking order!

and to think I sold my MSI 2080 trio for this

Wow the non OC version of the Zotac is 1710mhz the OC version is 1725mhz! Sold at a premium compared with the non OC version..

I had hopes that flashing the bios of the OC version to the non OC version, would have been a step in the right direction (subject to compatibility) .. But seems like it will hardly be worth the effort.

Not necessarily, While the clocks maybe ****, You'll get more performance from power increase on these 30x series, Jay2c proved that in a vid already and seeing as the trinity we have only has 105 lol maybe the Trinity OC has a bigger target so maybe still worth it.

If your happy with temps and the cards runs through a load of GPU bench tests without crashing then I'd keep her.
The cooler is great, 70c max at 99% load with custom 70% max fan speed profile (actually very quiet, my rx 5700 xt at 48 max fan speed was louder)
I have crashed once in black ops 3 and rage 2 but that did happen with my rx 5700 xt.. Black ops 3 likes to crash sometimes when changing graphic settings.
Played 30 hours so far.. The new Mafia definitive edition ran extremely well. The card seems to hover between 1830 to 1950mhz
I just feel like keeping it especially since I won't get another for awhile and need to pay extra.. Don't have a spare card too and want to play watch dogs legion / cyberpunk on release

Any recommendations for more bench tests?

I've exchanged my Zotac Trinity 3090 order for a ROG STRIX OC instead.

Reviews and reports didnt point favourably for the Zotac. Esp with the board power limit at 350w. The Strix alone can goto 480w, and no POSCAPs.
