8pack has never been particularly tactful. Tipping Liquid Nitrogen into a pot and lifting the rest of the day must be draining.

Would I like a 3080 soon, yes. Would a little bit of information be nice? Sure. But there might not be that much information to give.

I'm angry at Nvidia for hyping up a card and releasing it with no stock, everything else is just decision making.

Every retailer has increased prices, some worse than OC. OC have allowed pre orders, others haven't. You join the queue or you take your chance on stock coming in elsewhere. It's a choice.

Edit, skipped through and hadn't seen any drama about 8pack

Fair enough :D.

I'd avoid that case personally as it looks like those fans are going to suffer from restriction on the intake. I'd recommend Coolermaster, NZXT and Fractal off the top of my head. I'm out of the loop with current cases though. Sorry I can't be more help!

Definitely a choice, just not a very informed one.

According to my local retailer, a batch is arriving early next week with cards from all brands except EVGA/KFA and Aorus. We're only five to have a backorder for the strix and I'm first in line. Hopefully I get my Strix 3080 OC next week then :) I think it's better than being 1000ish in queue
 
Well well its not looking good for Nvidia custom cards ! I am 100% waiting to see what AMD come out with now..... sounds like the only card currently 100% safe to buy is the FE ! The rest people are reporting problems ! The issue I have with this is people will return them and then OC will test them and box them up as new and make out nothing is wrong with the cards ! I’m going to stay well away from 3080 custom cards well until next year until this all gets sorted out..... AMD please bring us a card thats better and you will 100% get my money.

FOUNDERS ARE REPORTING PROBLEMS TOO!! ITS A DRIVER ISSUE.
 
I've requested to cancel my vision oc with all the doubts currently. Going to let dust settle...see what AMD can bring and whether Nvidia have to react.

No shineys for me
 
one side of me says can you all stop flinging mud at each other and get back to the points...but my other side is like keep at it ..its very entertaining

It's all driver issues nothing more. All cards are reporting the same issues including the FE.
 
And I'm back took @8 Pack advice and did something more interesting than whining about cards on multiple forums :D
@OmniSnr this vid u could Enjoy :)

@Illuminist I'm rocking hes memories good jump from top of range teamgroups I had before. If 8pack puts hes name on stuff i trust Quality of that product :)
