I'm out. Refund requested on my order for a Standard TUF. Gonna see what Big Navi holds and/or wait for 3 series stock. I'd rather my money was in my bank account than someone else's adding to their interest...cheers guys GL

Looking at the mess and lack of information I think they've definitely pulled the air freighted shipments for reworking. I think that potential cap issue is a biggie.

I don't care what anyone says, when I ordered my card at 2.15pm it said delivery for the following day and the order in my account still says that day. (Competitor.) Something has happened to that order.

Be interesting to see the cap configuration once the cards arrive.

OMG I've not been keeping up with developments at all and suddenly I see all this crap in this thread.

I have an Asus Strix OC on order. Do I have cause for worry? That's all I need to know. If it's gonna be crashing on me I could do without that stress and would rather cancel.

Get off it... It’s a god damn GPU not your first born!

What do you want a retailer to work on when it has no stock to send to customers exactly?

It can’t magic GPUs from warehouse lines in Taiwan, or from a container on a boat, or a pallet on a plane...

Stop acting so self-entitled. :o

I agree to an extent, they can only report when they have actual news to share. But when you've paid in full with absolutely no sign of being in receipt of goods that are worth well over 600 quid, people will understandably get shirty. It's not a fantastic position to be in on either side but I dont know why OC font process payments when they know they can allocate and distribute stock.

So in summary 3080 launch is a fiasco, the 3090 just doubled down on that.

However, this is 2020 and we can do much better... so hold on to your thermal paste because coming our way is..
  • The 3070 launch
  • AMD's Big Navi and Zen3
  • Oh and 89 days to Xmas
Lets see the year out with full on confusion!

Personally I am letting my bet on a 3080 (order) ride, I might just win a Tuf 3080 for almost MSRP while the market has inflated the price.

I think the issue is that a lot ordered and paid thinking they were going to get the cards as all the information indicated as such. It's not just OCuk with this problem its all of the sites so people are rightly miffed when that didn't happen.

None of this makes any sense, apart from shipments have been reversed at the 11th hour and everyone has been told to stay quiet.

I seriously doubt nvidia are holding back stock, it's not worth the enormous reputational impact.

Yep, people have long memories. If it later turns out it was intentional they will lose a lot of custom in future years. I already think if the higher VRAM cards come out this year it is a bad, anti-consumer move.

This whole process has given me the heebie geebies.

All I really want is an update email following the confirmation.

It feels like I've paid a door to door tarmac layer upfront who'll be back in a jiffy with the lads.

Cancel and get your money back. I’ve already done that and ordered a different card from OcUK.

So you didn't think OcUK will very likely also receive another shipment, from the same UK distributor next week? ;)
If this is so, why didn’t Gibbo post it? I didn’t order a Gigabyte card, but the chances are if he didn’t post about OC receiving them next week, they likely aren’t receiving them then. Or they are and OC have failed to communicate that. Either way, doesn’t have the best look for OC does it?

I also have a strix oc on order and looking at diagrams of the gpu Asus used all small power filter on all 6 banks. Sorry dont know the actuall name. But also I noticed Asus tuf was also the same and isn't that one model thats causing issuse? And another note. Im 1392 in the que for a 3080 whats the latest on card delivwrys and quantities?

Wonder if ocuk have said there only honouring Ireland and UK ses the gpu distribution company have said well thats gonna cut your allocation down? If ya only gonna supply great Britain then y get same amount of gpus allocated as if u was world wide on a product??

I think @Gibbo will give us a delivery date when he has one.

But saying that. I do hope they bring out the Queue Calculator this week.

Because I'll admit OcUK communication on this launch has been very, very poor. :)

No they decided to stop non-UK orders because they don't GET more allocation selling almost globally... But OcUK has always sold to EU/US etc, but for this launch the stock is so damn bad they stopped selling outside of UK. Also they were getting a lot of hassle and cancellations with US customers, so it's probably not worth it to them in various ways. Not only that, the US has many of their own retailers, distributors and stock allocation. The fair decision they came to was, well we are a UK retailer, let's prioritise our UK customers anyway for the little stock they can get their hands on...

ASUS has changed the design now.
It was posted pages back.

It is best to read the thread from where you left off.

Not saying that is the final design.
