As I said Should take that video Down if he does not like spreading misinformation/unverified information. But WONT do it cause it's em YT moneyz and gets loads of views on it.

It's a shame how YT encourages outrage and conspiracy theories. Truth doesn't matter; if your video is provocative, it'll make money.

What the actual **** this better not be true they should honour all orders made during the promo period irellivent of shipping date!! Its nvidia's **** up so thats the least they can do

I heard that OCUK were just only issued a small amount and have requested more codes

Don't think so, the order/receipt says "£0.00 x 1 - FREE WITH GX-36B-MS: NVIDIA RTX Bundle Promotion - Watchdogs Legion & GeForce NOW" So it would be a violation specially since we already paid for it.
ye but thats for preorders taht HAD id still. The promo was gone for later orders.

i would like to see this microphone affecting his overclock thing too, funny how he didn't put that in his video.
he stated his analog mic on = overclock failed
mic off = overclock worked.

not sure which vid it was, might be same vid, but why not show us that?

How does that logic work? VRAM is mainly for loading in textures, if you run out of it your FPS drops. Doesn't affect the speed of your card though. For what is supposed to be an overclocking community, there's some serious idiocy on here.

Yes it does. Giving the GPU higher resolution textures to process each frame takes longer. Newer games always use more vRAM on average but they also put more load on the GPU on average. You can't future proof a GPU by simply throwing loads of vRAM on there, you need a balance of vRAM that is appropriate for your GPU. This has been fleshed out a lot in the "is 10Gb vRAM enough?" thread. The few examples we have today of games getting anywhere close to 10Gb of vRAM usage have the frame rate of 3080s down in the FPS of 10's or 20's. It's not just textures that get put into vRAM either, it's geometry of models, memory allocated to do Anti Aliasing, shadow effects, lighting etc. Almost all graphical option requires increased vRAM usage to some degree.

I'm not going to hunt for it, but there will be the fine print somewhere that'll say "while stocks last".

The only real plausible problems come from whether or not OCUK have their own devs, if they outsource it, how well the cart system was built and if they have direct access to the DB or not. That sort of SQL query can be written in like 15 minutes if you know what you're doing, it's honestly not very hard at all, and what is returned would be in your account screen only, and would only be meta data about the queue and would abstract away anyone else's personal details, all you'd get back is a queue number x of y so there's no real data laws to be considered.
Well, I've generally worked on the backend systems. But I've worked on interfaces from accounting/logistic backend systems integrating with webshop systems.

These "standard" webshops (as in not in-house stuff) can be customised beyond recognition. If that is the case adding the feature into the standard system might not be so easy. Which might explain why there's talk of emailing queue position.

Looking at what comes from the website I think I've identified which one they use. Not going to say which one here, anyone that knows how to look can see for themselves. As such, it might not be "that" easy to add the queue to this software. I've not worked with this particular product myself. So, can't comment on how easy it might be.

At any rate. While it would be nice to know how far back in the queue I am. I'm not THAT bothered by it. I mean I'd like to get one by November. But understand that might not happen based on demand vs supply. Certainly I don't feel the need to pressure the company to provide such queue information.

watch dogs code is only vaid to the 30th november 2020, afterwards the codes are useless and most retailers will not issue new codes, the promo period is to the 29th of this month too, if you are able to buy a card after that time (29th) no guarantee you'll get te promo code for the game

I don't get how people are still insisting that its driver related when the EVGA product manager himself admits they discovered the issue and took a full week of R&D and eventually added 20 mlcc.

Sure a driver might sort the issue temporarily but its not a fix ( given that you can almost guarantee new cards will not have this issue )

Turn down your texture setting so it doesn’t swap out.

All older cards get slow as new games push the limits is what I meant.
