I will look else where for the card.
At this rate it will be months before I get it.

I posted they using 470 same as Gigabyte they "should" be better quality than 330's and 220's but that requires also check of VRM's quality how much extra filtering is needed. Also MSI got 5+1 configuration as You see

Latest MSI images show they have changed to 2 sets of MLC. SO I guess they knew this was a issue too.

Also before anyone says this newer image above of the MSI GAMING X TRIO 3080 isn't the 3090 as you can see the 3090 has the nvlink

Just wait when Trump wins 2020 there will be more outcry. I got 3x50 quid bets on him won 2x50 quid bets on Boris hehehe. People forget that there are 2 types of people. One type that whines on internetz on fb and twater and second that gets up and actually votes :D


Anyway thats how one looks after puting order number in to unoficial calculator and it says 600+ for that model

The Ventus had 6 SP Caps in the MSI website product page and now it's a 5 + 1 image.
Live retail samples are 5+1. This suggests they did know and that 5+1 was sufficient in testing for the Ventus and 4 + 2 for the trio.

EVGA also went from 6 SP Caps to a 4 + 2 and a 5 + 1 product stack for the higher and lwoer tier cards.
5+1 should be fine but not great for clocks.

So they clearly are aware of issue.
5+1 MLC change to 4+2 MLC
Clearly like evga who said they found out in QC 5+1 wasn't good enough. Maybe this is why there is such a delay in cards.

Ahh, it's the online retailer, beginning with E, based in the East Riding of Yorkshire... Not sure if we're allowed to name them? :P

I ordered at 00:05 on 17/09/20 and it was despatched the next day! My other half ordered at 00:07 due to website crashes, and his got put into 'Stock Issue' status. He's since been told it's now on pre-order.

So seems I managed to nab one of their few items in stock. Never felt so lucky in my life; I usually miss out!

So have you noticed any crashes with your new GPU like the ones being reported at the moment?

I did not get email confirmation either. I have lost hope that I will get it. My order is on account and I got PR email so I take it that my order was received.
 
Only way this launch could have possibly been worse would be if the cards spontaneously combusted on first power on, and that did happen with a few evga 1080ti's. :p

I mean, I don't game heavily. Interested in the discussion going on, I did bump my clock speed to above 2000Mhz when I was in World of Warcraft earlier, and it did freeze until I set default settings in MSI Afterburner. As soon as I pressed the reset to default settings, the game started responding again. So...?
