Well i know for sure EAGLE 3090 uses 470s cant find no 3080 back of pvb photo. But I'd assume they will use same on all cards.
But as I said Caps wont matter the issue is with Boost algoritm being too aggressive and pushing silicone too far.

lol, apologies I found it and I was confused with the video you posted with the ventus with 220 caps! Really can’t choose between the Ventus and the Eagle now!

So the other day my que number was 1329. Now its 1522? Can someone explain how? I'd thought it be goin down due to all the people saying there cancelling?

Also the Eagle 3080 is rated for 340 not 320 so you'd hope that extra juice is to smooth out power delivery when it's needed ie high boost. Still, the issue has been blown out of all proportion and people need to chill a little on that front. I already suspect it's being blown up like this to convince others to cancel orders.

if you were to guess, would the Eagle 3080 be a better bet than the ventus?

Being honest, I literally have no idea which way to go. I saw the eagle was a smidge louder and loads cooler, and being half deaf, I didn't care too much. That drove my purchase choice.

Ok, let's start with some mystic meg level predictions. I reckon Nvidia are going to make small alterations to gpu boost to tame the boost spikes and reduce voltage that don't affect performance at all and everyone forgets about capacitors. I reckon some cards (e.g Zotac) will relax their lower power limits also. I'm also gonna say that at least one AIB will have some kind of hardware failing further down the line also.

It's.... unofficial? It's based on rough, incomplete data which constantly changes. How are people not getting this?

Can't believe how many definitive statements people seem to be prepared to make about 'hardware failures' who don't seem to understand what an overclock is, how they work, or the implications of them

It is not just overclocking, cards that are boosting for a length of time with no manual overclocks are also having this issue...

Bro just stop it... we paid 700 quid for this GPU, money doesn't grow on trees and it's a big investment, better communication is the minimum I don't understand being so apologetic

Well man, it isn't self-entitled really. Is not like you just bought a 2£ bottle of juice, and it certainly is not for free... You are entitled to know whats going on and of course, you can't expect them to work 24/7 but... It is Sunday and yes I am working... :D

Stop what? I should tell some of the people here to calm it. And I know, I also paid OcUK £650 for my GB Eagle, I am also waiting! But I don't react the way some people have here...

Vote with your feet. I've bought mine elsewhere and debating cancelling my pre-order here now. Only thing holding me back is a friend is after one.

I didn't defend OcUK in terms of communication, just some people's reaction is absurd. OcUK have indeed been poor with the communication.

Fingers crossed the Gigabyte Vision doesn't come a cropper.

The graphics card uses the better power phase design to allow the MOSFET to operate at lower temperature,
and over-temperature protection design and load balancing for each MOSFET, plus the Ultra Durable
certified chokes and capacitors, to provide excellent performance and longer system life.

A queue doesn't help without any idea of the quantity and frequency of stock anyway. No point being next in line if there's no stock of that product for months!
