I know its only been a week and a half but I'm getting increasingly frustrated due to the lack of information ascertaining to Gigabyte 3080 stock, specifically the Gaming OC in my case. The unofficial queue put me at 68 which I thought was great considering some of the thousands of cards ordered in other models. Plus taking into account any cancellations. But there literally only been one update regarding Gigabyte stock and it said only a small quantity was received. One shipment in a week and a half plus no idea how much stock there was initially for this card. Lastly unless I'm mistaken there's been no news regarding the official queue tracker either.

I knew it was going to take awhile by the end of day 1 but what gets me is the total uncertainty of it. I have no idea if my card will come this week, next month, or the month after that. Just wish I had some kind of reassurance instead of seeing there's only been one very small shipment in a week and a half.

Well, 300 in the queue for an MSI Ventus order at 15:22 on launch day was pretty disheartening on it's own. Now I find out that my position is probably much later due to paying through Amazon, which cleared at 1AM the next day.
Feels pretty terrible being effectively punished for using the only payment method which wasn't causing the website to crash for me on launch day. I can't see myself keeping this order if the queue is really based on payment clearing time instead of order time.

How did you calculate that?

It was suposed to say cancelations, not calculations.

I'm one of the ones who ordered a GPU in the 1st half an hour. I guess I'll need another 2x 30 MSI cards to get my order. xD

If my less than the spreadsheet calculations I plotted in these graphs are vaguely accurate (using the 1800 number for TUF cards someone was told by customer service to adjust the estimates of the others, but still, complete guess. We have the data to be sure of the trends, but not the numbers) then this maybe gets us to the first 8 minutes of MSI Gaming X Trios... really wish OC hadn't posted their first stock ETAs on cards, especially if that first stock was 5 cards. I wanted a trio, but now we're stuck in the queue with all the "whichever I think I can get first" people.

Where the F are Gigabyte cards??? im getting ****** why did i ever buy the Eagle that was meant to "come next week"

At least there is stock coming in/has shipped out.....0 KFA cards have been sent out or even any word as of yet of when stock is arriving, i ordered on day of release.

Guy literally just asked for order number then hung up the phone without saying thanks or goodbye. I was perfectly polite, just asked for a refund on a recent order. What a bunch of a$$holes.
Whilst I would say that's out of order on the CS staff member's part I can understand his frustration.

People have been told not to call regarding stock updates and a cancellation form has been provided online yet people are still calling them for these purposes. It then stops them from doing other work which may speed things up.

Either way, I wouldn't say the people I've spoke to on the phone at OcUK have ever had any kind of customer service training.

Because there is no update!? They haven’t got one so you can’t have one. If you want to know exactly where stock is going then ring gigabyte and ask them as I don’t think even the distributors know. All the AIB partners are going to be fighting for chips from nvidia to fill orders and it’s out of stock everywhere. You obv thought it wasn’t going to take a long time. mall the cards ave to go through customs etc, with covid and everything else going on they don’t k ow when this is all going to be back to normal. Be patient it will come.

Sounds exactly like the guy I spoke to except he said use the online form then hung up as I was still speaking lol, lost a customer here I won't use again no need for rudeness especially after holding for 30+mins...

If yours does arrive on this shipment, please let us know on here if you get the original set of capacitor layout (5+1) or the revised version (4+2)

This would be really useful info.

pretty sure they wont change the design/ build that quickly, especially as evidence on the cause of the crashing is still anecdotal. I’m also pretty sure the 3080 pictures you are seeing with the revised capacitor layout are actually 3090’s not the 3080 as they always had 2. The MSI website still only shows one. And the crashing issue only really seems to be an issue if you manually overclock the card anyway. Its already blisteringly fast, so don’t overclock it more than it comes out of the box and I suspect it will be fine. If not, send it back as faulty and request a refund. You’ll have plenty of evidence to back you up. if that fails, section 75 it through your credit card

The Strix design wasn’t changed at all, not sure where you’re getting your information from.

Well they delayed the STrix board and it has been reported over the internet that ASUS has changed the design in pre-production and although they havent admitted to it directly, ASUS themselves said on the 17th that the strix had been delayed and would not be available at launch.

And lastly the pictures ASUS put up on their website showed the strix board with a different configuration of POSCAPS and MLCC groups to the actual strix boards now being made (with 100% MLCC groups now). They have since replaced the pics

This is the card they are now shipping with 6 MLCC groups

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IDMS54jEFM&feature=youtu.be

This was the original strix card and the promotional images Asus sent out on the strix

EVGA have come clean and said they had to redesign theirs because they came across the issue and just like the strix, earlier FTW EVGA boards had 6 POSCAPS on. Asus just said their were delayed for "unknown reasons".

Seems odd dont you think? I mean Asus are doing very well out of the "we had 6 MLCC on our strix cards from the start"

im so wroooownwree EVGA why you no come make my day
Unofficial queue position 15. Come on lads i just need one good shipment and i can leave this dank world of f5ness

You know to use the form, I refunded by it and it was very quick. Why phone them when you know the phone lines are bursting at the seams. God there is some entitlement going on.

Im in the same boat. Ive been a long time customer of OCUK and if this is indeed the case then I will be cancelling as well as this is a terrible decision. I cant see the logic around payment clearing time being a decisive factor for an item they dont even have in stock?!?

Consider yourself lucky!! I started @ #214, then dropped all the way down to 169, now I'm back to #192 lol!! I know it's not an official tracker, and pray that it's way off the mark, but I'm waiting on the same card.
