No problem.

They’re late for the same reason hardly anyone else has a 3000 series lol

I am not so sure. Both EVGA and ASUS had the same layout on their PR and marketing shots on their high end boards and both have gone with a different layout on their final boards.

EVGA had stated thats why their FTW cards are late. Asus have kept quiet. Asus have massive manufacturing and have managed to ship more TUF boards than anybody else has so far of their boards so it does seem strange that only 4 days before launch ASUS officially announced their strix cards were going to be late.

I noticed that my queue number in the calculator has changed for the MSI Gaming Trio 3080 from 2228 where I was last time I checked almost a week ago, to 1968 now. Have cancellations been added to this queue calculator as well? Or have other orders been processed and this calculator is now taking into account orders that just have not yet been shipped?

Can anyone clear this out for me? Thanks!

due to being told that queue updater is being made i thought that i would give time as this was the case so ive avoided emailing or calling them until today. However seeing as some people have posted about their queue numbers (some using unofficial queue and some apparently being told by staff, i did receive this response

We're not giving out manual Q positions but we're working on a solution, apologies for any confusion if someone has advised that. As soon as we have stock for your pre order we will email you to confirm dispatch, however you will be waiting a considerable time frame for your order to be shipped sorry. Roughly a couple of months at least before we see a substantial delivery to clear pending back orders.

The relevant forum thread which is being managed by Gibbo will have all of the most recent updates, not ideal but until we can implement something better it's the only solution we have in place.

so im glad things are still being looked at but i can imagine that any queue position update is going to be a considerable time until implemented

Good shout, thanks for sharing, that puts me at ease a bit. Maybe those that have swapped have been wrongly informed?

is “NikTheSHNIK” official OC? I really hope this statement is official but if it is there are going to be some annoyed customers who clearly believe they were told otherwise ( although even more if its not correct )

The more users added to the queue means it gets more accurate. With cancellations and certain cards getting way more popular at later times, I have a feeling it’s not very accurate at all.
People who ordered the TUF before 5ish are probably much further up the queue than they think due to the orders getting much more popular after 5.
Guessing due to people seeing the reviews.

Wow, ok, that's unfair. If customers decide to change their order, they should be sent to the back of the queue for that specific card. Those that ordered later don't deserve to be punished because someone else changed their mind. This is nothing personal against anyone, I'm just not cool with the situation.

I've been tolerant and I don't mind waiting, plus with how much of a clusterf**k this launch has been, I'm willing to give OCUK the benefit of the doubt, but I expect the system to at least be fair.

I mentioned in an earlier post, I agree it's a little unfair but as the system is there that's what I'll use. Not sure if it's relevant but I did have a few other things in my basket too that are in stock, but won't ship til the card is too (which I'm fine with, as it's watercooling parts that will go with the card)

I had my email confirmation come through a few mins ago showing my new card, and still with the original order number/time. I will of course update tomorrow night if I was lucky enough to be in the earlier batch but I'm expecting even if I kept my queue position I'll probably be next weeks (whereas I would've been this week on the gigabyte)

Zeed, what time did you order your Gigabyte card? Are you worried about this crashing business or confident Gigabyte used decent parts?
i ordered 14.20 and still not got one. And I'm not bothered Mine goes underwater and will end up with hard mod for TDP limit increse. Gigabyte got 470s on the cards from what iw seen so all good. More worried about silicone lottery :D

Was it confirmed that this MSI card is affected? Wondering why you made the swap? Speaking as a concerned MSI card orderererer :)

The MSI card has a 5 and 1 layout. maybe its completely fine but ASUS looks better in this regards and the VRM is better. It was also a little cheaper so I got a little money back.

As for the queue, I asked and I keep my order time or I would have just cancelled and waited.

How worried would you be about the 220's on the Palit? (I don't plan on overclocking) so it shouldn't be an issue for me right?

If OCUK are really letting people switch to another card while keeping their place in the queue, that's much worse than then the irregular updates/queue calculator wait
Unlikely to be the case. What happens if someone reaches the head of the overall queue but the card he chose is unavailable- OC
are hardly going to halt deliveries of other cards until his arrives. If the purchaser is allowed to change cards and jump the queue
for that card we could end up with the situation of people jumping between cards like an impatient motorway driver...
