Everyone seems so obsessed with queue positions but the real issue is lack of cards being delivered full stop. Seems like only 2-3 brads have actually shipped cards out of the 20 odd up for sale.
Kfa2 for example sent their first shipment to Asia and we have no confirmation yet that the next shipment wont go to the same place!
Would be nice to know where we stand so we're not waiting months for stock that may never show up.

Not sure if its new to anyone, but this was posted 8minutes ago on Facebook by the ROG page

"All retail ROG Strix and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 and 3090 graphics cards use only MLCC capacitors for decoupling close to the GPU. During development, we discovered the improvement this makes to RTX 3090 and 3080 overclocking headroom, so we made specification changes before we started shipping cards to reviewers and customers. Please note that some of the product images used on etail sites and our product pages were from early development samples, so are not final. All images will be updated soon. Please bear with us!"

Sorry, made an account to post this from mobile so no clue how to properly format.

Yeah, not everyone lives under a rock, especially in this forum. The stress is real mate.
Come on this cannot be causing anyone real stress. There are people in the world suffering from persecution and starvation. Waiting a few months for a graphics card to give you a few extra fps isn’t life and death. I think people in this forum need some perspective.

My position in the unofficial keeps going down which is nice. Apparently 91st for the Eagle.

But I really should just stop checking every day... I just need to be patient and hopefully one day in the next 3 months it will rock up.. :D

So it appears the fix was just to sort out the boost table, making it so it doesn't boost more than it should, wonder what the limit is now on the cards.

Also begs the question what will the 3080 strix OC do, that has the highest boost of 1935 (would go above that) so might just cap out like the other cards, hoping Asus has done some magic with the voltages and allow it to go higher. Did see one USER say the card was just asking for too many volts and once it was limited it stopped the crashing.

i'm about 1500 in the queue for the card, so maybe by xmas i'll have my hands on one :D all the kinks should be sorted by then haha

@deuse so now that it seems they have fixed the crashing issue, are you going to cancel your 3090 and order a 3080 again? :p

If you are dying to get your hands on a card, probably best keeping the 3090 order as I am sure there will be less demand for those. But if no guarantee of getting in in a week or so then might as well wait for a 3080 and save the money meaning you get a free 4080 in a year or two when they come out :p

Lol just made my first monthly credit payment before it even arrived.
gotta love people buying stuff they dont have money for. Look at bright side u wont be cancelling now u just payy it off before ya get it buhahaaha

Based on the 1700 TUF and 700 TUF OC numbers I missed yesterday I've adjusted my graphs of orders to guess a total of 10k orders, vs the 10500 I was using before when we'd been told 1800 TUF. This gives a total of 1712 TUF and 827 TUF OC, so still not quite where we want it (I could hardcode the TUF and TUF OC maxes, like I have the 10k overall max, but that doesn't help the other card's plots, so I'm going to leave it overestimated for now. If anyone call OC for other reasons (so legitimate, not just this) asking them for rough totals for Strix, Strix OC, XC3 Black, Gigabyte Eagle, MSI Gaming X Trio and MSI Ventus we could get good plots based on all the more popular ones, which I'd enjoy).

If anyone wants to see my graphs they are here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1L5FsPk6ZsYzN8J2XMaAoLQPbCrjKBTiCEanh1AthKs0/edit#gid=0. They calculate sold at time based on the ratio at that point of a cards sales, rather than overall, and use a total aimed to match those two data points we have tot total sales, so while still not accurate I think they make a better guess for sales made at a set time than the other tools we have now seem to. They are at least another interesting data point till we get the official queue.

Yeap, what's the problem with using a credit card for buying something you want and can pay? I guess all cars and properties you own were bought with cash ;). PD: You need to relax

There's always someone who fares worse than us, in the world: people without a job, people without food, people who were just ran over by a truck while crossing the street, people in warzones, people who just found out they are going to die because of cancer... By that logic, nothing should ever cause stress to anyone unless it's causing immediate risk of death. Which is ********.
Sure, the level of stress that this RTX accident is causing is not comparable to someone in Africa struggling to feed his family, but it doesn't make it less valid. Some people were counting on building a new PC as a mean to make this global lockdown more bearable; building PCs and playing games are hobbies that do help people keep sane during isolation and fight cabin fever. The psychological issues caused by the current global situation are real, even if they don't kill us like starvation would. Also, some people spent money on it that they would have used to fund ALTERNATIVE hobbies, had they known that it would have taken them ages before they could have their GPU.

So don't go saying that there are people in the world suffering from starvation: we know, that doesn't excuse anything and doesn't make the complaints less valid. Sure, there's a limit to how much a reasonable reaction should be, but do not try to invalidate people's concerns only because someone else has it worse.

Depends. Theres many 0% arrangements available via different credit cards. Id rather pay it via paypal with no interest over 4 months than drop £700 outright. Especially when I don't have the card.

I was 245 in the unofficial queue, as I only managed to get the payment page to finally work at 15:15
So, 'capgate', stupid queues and no updates... cancelled. Hoping the money appears back in my account today.

I'll wait till this all blows over, enjoy the new Xbox Series X and get a card in the new year.
