Cause thats what is coming in so what else ya want ?? No more cards This week check next ??
Some other retailers are able to give a date on when they will receive those 30 cards a day BEFORE they are actually in the warehouse, and I don't believe that OCuk doesn't get the same level of information. Being able to know that the next batch of 30 will arrive in 7 days rather than being told only on the day they arrive is better, it lets us judge what's the actual flow of hardware coming in.
Also, personally I'd like them to add a message on the landing page for the RTX 30 series that explains that stock is empty, that they have thousands of preorders and that preordering now will put you at the end of a queue of thousands because there's no known date at which they will be available to satisfy new preorders. The fact that the store still takes preorders and doesn't give any hint to customers about the current shortage is misleading and arguably skirting on the unethical side of ecommerce practices.

Not sure if its new to anyone, but this was posted 8minutes ago on Facebook by the ROG page

"All retail ROG Strix and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 and 3090 graphics cards use only MLCC capacitors for decoupling close to the GPU. During development, we discovered the improvement this makes to RTX 3090 and 3080 overclocking headroom, so we made specification changes before we started shipping cards to reviewers and customers. Please note that some of the product images used on etail sites and our product pages were from early development samples, so are not final. All images will be updated soon. Please bear with us!"

Sorry, made an account to post this from mobile so no clue how to properly format.
Thanks!

And Geforce Now. I wanted that for my Shield.
If I'm honest, this cross promo confuses me as I'd just said to myself "if I splash out on the big nvidia card, now I've got fibre at home I'll cancel my GNow sub".

Why wouldn't you just stream from your PC for the shield? Travel?

For what it's worth, I cancelled yesterday after finding out queue position was based on payment clearing time (18th, 1AM) instead of order time (17th, 15:22) - and the money was refunded today.

Despite them handling this situation pretty terribly, I can't fault them for their cancellation process. Doing it through the form was very convenient.

The new monitor I ordered however... I won't lie and say that this experience didn't cause me to order it from a competitor instead.

I also cancelled yesterday and within minutes I had a PayPal notification that I had been refunded just waiting the X amount of days for it to reappear on my credit card

whats also very demotivating is the fact that in China or summat there is a thing called golden week or summat, only just checked online and allegedly it was suppose to be in october but google says china one was already in early this year ? can anyone confirm .?

@deuse so now that it seems they have fixed the crashing issue, are you going to cancel your 3090 and order a 3080 again? :p

If you are dying to get your hands on a card, probably best keeping the 3090 order as I am sure there will be less demand for those. But if no guarantee of getting in in a week or so then might as well wait for a 3080 and save the money meaning you get a free 4080 in a year or two when they come out :p

You're right there is less demand.
And I will stay with my 3090. If I was gaming at 1080p or 1440 I would get a 3080

Completely agree - some sort of banner message should be somewhere warning potential customers that demand is substantial; cards are in short supply and it is looking likely that there will be a significant time before any new preorders are fulfilled.

Still not really sure that is correct though... From what has been said, it does still appear as though your actual order time is the only number that matters. But hope you get the card elsewhere sooner :)

Yup, 1st-7th October, so expect an even more extreme shortage of cards soon. Fortunately, I think that things will ramp up quickly after that

whilst the manufacturing of the cards might slow down or stop at that time I bet there there are some big shipments stuck out at sea or at ports around the world. I don’t expect much will change that week and overclockers will still keep getting some stock

I do agree the communication has been very bad. On the other hand, who pre-orders a product knowing full well the demand and shortage....Google is your friend!

True, so perhaps not an "extreme shortage", but probably about the same volume of cards as we're currently getting for the foreseeable
