For anyone asking about of you can swap card. I've been told in email YES YOU CAN and you don't loose your spot. It's down to when you paid.

Well that’s a lot of ****. All that I seen was people slagging off the TUF and that it’s performance was gonna be bad due to one previous bad TUF card.
People are now gonna change and get in front of people that ordered the TUF from the start. I’ve been fairly happy with the way things have been handled so far but that isn’t fair at all.

So technically you could be in a very long queue if everyone jumps ship into a better reviewed card...

I ordered my card because I knew it was good, i dont want people cutting in. I need my card now, running on some fluff here. This will be the last time I jump to a new line of cards, i'll let all the new age gamers have their way with it then order when the dust settles.

Well it doesn't actually state that you will keep your place. If I find out that is the case, they will have some serious issues on their hands @Gibbo

By saying you will lose your position entirely by cancelling and making a new order. I assume it means you wouldn’t lose your place if you swap.

That doesn't say you won't lose your queue swapping. Just that you can swap.
Well, it's not clear from them what their policy is. But generally if you adjust an order you are doing just that. As in there's order header data and order detail/lines. If they change a line the order number and ordering is the same. So unless they explicitly look for added/changed lines when assigning stock, it will likely still stay in queue position. I would expect if the order number doesn't change that the odds are in your favour to keep queue position.

But, that's just some speculation here.

Myself and one other member had a friend who ordered @ 14:15 but no despatch email.

OCUK advised me that I missed out on this shipment but should be good for the next one (whenever that is).

In theory that should mean I'm in the current or next MSI batch then... I know I shouldn't get my hopes up about this but every time I get a notification on my phone today I'm a little disappointed when it's not OCUK

I don't really see the problem with allowing people to jump a queue. Yeah, initially as stock is really low that might say affect a few people whether they get a card in 2 or 4 weeks (don't we collectively have much bigger worries than that such as covid-19, terrible politicians or climate change?), but the number of people requesting a change of card will still be very small vs the number of total orders. Once stock starts coming in in good amounts it really doesn't matter much does it? Plus, it also works the other way ... if someone currently in front of you goes for a different card, you might end up getting it faster.

Some other retailers are able to give a date on when they will receive those 30 cards a day BEFORE they are actually in the warehouse, and I don't believe that OCuk doesn't get the same level of information. Being able to know that the next batch of 30 will arrive in 7 days rather than being told only on the day they arrive is better, it lets us judge what's the actual flow of hardware coming in.
Also, personally I'd like them to add a message on the landing page for the RTX 30 series that explains that stock is empty, that they have thousands of preorders and that preordering now will put you at the end of a queue of thousands because there's no known date at which they will be available to satisfy new preorders. The fact that the store still takes preorders and doesn't give any hint to customers about the current shortage is misleading and arguably skirting on the unethical side of ecommerce practices.

Personally - I'd be annoyed if my card were late 2 weeks if someone decided 4 weeks after ordering they wanted my card instead. It's not first come first serve on whatever you want surely? Where is the line?

People decided what card to buy, changed their mind/found out they're thousands back vs another brand where it's 100s on another so some poor chap misses out?

I dunno man, something doesn't sit right with me there...

So this promised queue position updater for customers, any news on that or did they just make it up to try and stop people cancelling orders?
Well they seem to have something as some people have been able to find their queue position by calling them.
I called them today and they told me they wont give me the queue number and asked me to wait for an email for the queue position instead lol

Had a chat with OCUK about another order yesterday and also asked about my pre-order - they have in excess of 300+ cancellations to take care of and look forward to sending out the official queue positions via email this weekend (the guy was hopeful it'll be this weekend).

Out of curiosity what time did you order, and what payment method (to be honest I'm mostly interested if you don't get one from today's batch, it'd be interesting to narrow down the cutoff time for the first 35ish Trios (I including the 5 we've been told they had on the 18th)).

Ordered at 14:05 using card payment (so in theory, payment should have been instant).
