I don't see the issue with swapping and keeping place in queue. If they got in the queue before you did then they should get a card before you do. If they choose not to because they are waiting for a particular card thats their choice.

At the time of ordering there was very little in the way of information on stock levels and zero reviews for these cards. Should these early buyers be punished for nVidias decision to restrict information on these cards until release day? I personally don't think so.

Don't think I am saying this because I have changed my order, because I haven't. I ordered a Ventus at 15:08 on release day and that is the card I intend to wait for.

2nd to the 9th October is Golden week in China, national holiday. No production happening for that week.

Just thought I'd cheer you all up. That's the holidays mentioned in the Gigabyte tweet

China holiday won’t effect much since freight to uk is between 27-35 days end to end:) so the cards that we will be getting throughout October left way before then :)

whats also very demotivating is the fact that in China or summat there is a thing called golden week or summat, only just checked online and allegedly it was suppose to be in october but google says china one was already in early this year ? can anyone confirm .?

There are two, Spring Festival Golden Week which was earlier this year, National Day Golden Week which is just about to start...

If you've got PayPal account then you just need to apply for PayPal Credit in account management...but the credit limit they give you might vary to others...if you have been using paypal for a long time then you should be fine :) Once you get it every shopping you do online over £99 you can spread over 4 months 0% when paying with paypal credit.
Thanks.

For what it's worth, I cancelled yesterday after finding out queue position was based on payment clearing time (18th, 1AM) instead of order time (17th, 15:22) - and the money was refunded today.

Despite them handling this situation pretty terribly, I can't fault them for their cancellation process. Doing it through the form was very convenient.

The new monitor I ordered however... I won't lie and say that this experience didn't cause me to order it from a competitor instead.
Gigabyte Twitter 5min ago: As promised. Gaming OC and Eagle more in next 7 days First 3080 MASTER and Vision due next 7 days XTREME due next 2 weeks. However, this could be delayed by national holidays

Please check with your retailer for your position in the queue
Nice ill pop it in vieablwe version for people

Just requested OCUK to cancel my 3080 order as my 3090 arrived last night. Order was for a Gigabyte Eagle at 1513 so atleast someone might move up a tier and get their card a bit quicker now!

I spoke to OCUK. I ordered the Vision card myself. They mentioned that there's only 50~ orders for the Vision. Which makes it hopeful for those who'd ordered :)
Yep. Saw Gibbo post it in this thread and bought immediately as I'm planning a black and white build :)

Tue, 22 Sep, 20:36 (time of confirmation email)

My order confirmation was Tue 22 19:46 so hopefully I'm in the first batch.

It seems they don't want to give us numbers to avoid more cancellations and hold the money as much as possible. I'm waiting for the official "queue" today lets see what they have in mind.
Ironically, if they provided more information, less people would likely cancel.
When the HP Reverb G2 got delayed by a couple of weeks, they did a proper press release but also a Reddit AMA. Because people were getting lots of information it was interesting to see lots of comments about "being happy to wait".
I think customers just want to feel listened to and respected. We all know that OCUK can't bring the cards any quicker than they already are. If OCUK told me that I likely won't have my card until mid-November I wouldn't cancel, but I would really appreciate knowing what to reasonably expect. Right now, I don't know if I will have the card next week or next year.

I suspect the problem is either they don't know when to expect stock or nVidia have made them agree not to release that information.

anyhow, there is little point in saying quantities that have not yet shipped to them as they can't know for sure that the supplier will be able to send them

I see your point, but surely you are in a queue for the product you ordered? You don't pre-order a ps5 then choose to jump ship to xbox and keep your position...Same for any product.
If they wanted to make it first come first served in that way, it shouldn't have been sold as separate products.
Luck of the draw, same as it was for a sale to go through.

Same. It is why I preordered a PS5. That is the deadline i set them and myself. If still no ETA 2 weeks before PS5 release then i will cancel and wait to see what AMD are doing.

But they have said it's coming, they're committed to it. Yet people keep champing at the bits "when is it coming, when is it coming, when is it coming?". Yeah, it's not here yet and while it's not here yet you're not going to know your queue position; and it's not even been two weeks since launch yet! But the reality is that for the majority of us the earliest time possible we'll get our cards will probably be late October. Having or not having a queue position tool doesn't change that. Not having a queue position tool does show us that people are impatient however ... doesn't bode well for having to wait for the card itself.
