I only got the 3080 because I knew the queue would be long.
The ugly cards try harder
I only ordered the Eagle as it was the ugliest card and thought no one else would want one![]()
This is what I don't understand. How is your queue place the same for both. You ordered the Black at a specific time. You then asked to switch to a different card. This card already has it's own queue. Your place in the queue for the black != Vision. They're mutually exclusive. As another person has said, it's like me queue for a ps5 then changing my mind and switching to an Xbox.

I asked this question as i didn't want to change cards and be place at the back of the line for the new card. The guy said that it's based on when I ordered, not what I ordered.
As per my previous comment in the thread - I wanted this confirmed via email, of which hasn't arrived yet. But when i called yesterday, this was on my account notes. For avoidance of doubt, I get whatever comes first based on my place in the queue via batch avaikability - the EVGA Black 3080, which i ordered on launch date, or the GB Vision 3080. They'll call me if whatever price at that point in time differs from what I paid.
This is what I've been told.

I also ordered the eagle at 15.13. Would be pedantic and ask how many seconds but 1 place up the queue isn't going to matter too much.
Would love to have some idea of the wait on this. I bought it for my son's 18th birthday which was yesterday.
That doesn't make sense though. You ordered a specific product. By that logic you could swap to a 4k monitor that's on pre-order and jump in front of everyone queueing for that.
THIS IS A JOKE HOW IS THIS FAIR IN ANY REGARD? WTF OCI have been following this thread since launch day, but decided to make an account as I received some info that I think may be worth sharing.
My original order was made on the 17th, around 15:13 for the EVGA XC3 Black - I had been refreshing since 2pm and after multiple empty baskets and 2 payment failures i got my order through.
The important part to this is that as part of my order I also ordered a new screen, not expecting the stock levels to be as low as they seem to be and the delay for EVGA cards, I was happy to wait a short while for both the Card and the screen to come together.
However, with everything that has been going on with shortages and lack of info around new stock deliveries, I thought I would wait it out for the card but get a screen from somewhere else in the meantime.
I got in touch with CS on Saturday via webform, asking about removing the screen from my order which was an ASUS TUF screen and if this would affect me in the queue for my EVGA XC3 Black.
Now from reading on here and the response I got from CS, there looks to have been a lot of people swapping card orders - as their response included information about swapping cards. They must be on auto pilot for responses and seen TUF and got them mixed up.
Note I did not want to swap cards, I wanted and need the EVGA XC3 Black due to its dimensions - no other card will work apart from maybe the FE or potentially the Inno3d Twinx2 - so not only was I surprised by their response for mentioning swapping cards but also it did worry me that maybe that meant my order would be on hold till I responded. I have confirmed in my response that I still want my original card, but just the screen removed - so lets hope it does not affect me in the queue at all.
Anyway, the info I wanted to share in the CS response - remember I am not trying to pull a fast one, I do not even want a swap - but I think its valuable info for those waiting in the queue that it looks like others could be pushed in front of you if they decide to swap.
Would be great to have OCUK respond clearly on this matter to clear it up for everyone.

This is why I called - as i saw the EVGA cards weren't even sent to Europe. Hence kicking off this convo around availability - so I wanted to understand further. The reply was time of order for the 3080 series release, rather than chopping complete between different areas of products.
I'm in the same boat as everyone - I expect to be disappointed, I haven't received my follow up email after two calls around what was agreed.
THIS IS A JOKE HOW IS THIS FAIR IN ANY REGARD? WTF OC
I guess that they would rather people swap to a card they want then cancel their order, obviously they don't want us cancelling en masse which is why we also won't get queue info.If this queue jumping business is true then OC are just blatantly and deliberately taking the **** now. I understand they don't have any control over stock shortages but this is a deliberate decision on their part to shaft customers.
