Looking at the lack of CS information, I think it would be a good idea for OCuK to give us updates regardless of the stock.

i.e:

There’s this amount of this GPU due today/tomorrow.

As well as saying:

There’s no stock due today/tomorrow.

this way it would let us know where we stand. Rather than always having to refresh to see if there’s any rumoured updates.

I think your logic was sound but it does appear in practice you could be getting the shaft. Hard to tell when there is no transparency on the queue and even if numbers only ever go down it doesn't stop anyone from top slicing the incoming stock for other reasons e.g. a side queue for PC builds/packages. This is why trust and integrity are important....

But you dont have to guess? if you dont recieve an update, there was no stock?

This is a product that is inherently "out of stock", why do people need to be constantly told that this is still the case?

Do you think OCUK should still be taking orders at this time without any indication of the potential wait? I see that some cards are removed from adding to the basket but the majority can still be ordered.

I am fascinated by this thread and it will be interesting to see what the 3070 launch will be like.

Gibbo posts in there if there's stock coming, he doesn't post if there isn't. Posting when there's no stock coming is both pointless and will clutter the thread up. It already does what you want it to do

This is another issue. Why update it if there isn't an update.

If we don't get an update it's pretty obvious there ISN'T an update.

What complete waste of time it would be to type a new post to say "No update today" when anyone with half a brain already knows this.

Pre-order's should have been stopped until the current orders have been fulfilled imo.
 
I find it hilarious that I suggest something to improve the overall communication that everything is bad mouthing OCuK about. Only for it to be ridiculed. So you want better communication but you don’t?
