Please stop with this, where did you get the proof that more expensive orders get filled first?Well see, the thing is. Part of the software I work on is covering order to cash and fulfillment. Generally what I've seen is that when stock arrives the user can see outstanding orders and allocate as they see fit. But the normal practice would be oldest orders first.
Assigning to the higher price orders might put bigger numbers on the book short term. But ultimately they're going to need to fulfill those orders sometime. If the customer cancels, it's just more of a negative reputation issue.. So, longer term to me at least, it doesn't make sense to allocate stock that way. But, for sure they could, if they wanted to.
