*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Right behind you - who knows.. perhaps we'll be delivery date buddies and forge a lifelong friendship or something?
Feel better for knowing my number but next we can start reeeee'ing about stock dates.
Lol - I've still got people on my Steam friends list from when I pre-ordered my original Vive VR headset back in 2016 and my Valve Index headset last May. Had to wait months for those to be delivered so this is nothing so far hehe

Dude.
It happened to one person only, but it's another small issue that piles up on top of the queue system that took THREE BLOODY WEEKS to just start;
after customer service allowed people to swap cards even though Gibbo said on these forums that the only way to change card was to cancel the preorders and get to the back of the queue;
after customer service said that only people who ordered EVGA were allowed to swap but we have seen people allowed to swap and keep positions from MSI to Palit;
after EVGA official words contradict OCuk statement that EVGA is serving only USA;
after Gibbo's communication don't even include the whole stock they are shipping, according to the users who do receive their cards;

You know, it might have happened to a single person, but being piled up on top of the rest it suddenly becomes A THING. And as such the company better address it.

And stop with the condescending emoji, man.
None of that is his fault, and that one guy with a card might have gotten it from somewhere else. So don't talk to a mod like that, he's just trying to volunteer his time to help us and keep the rules in place.

I'm seeing a lot of people asking about where its been said that the non oc strix isn't being released until they catch up with the oc version? Where was this said?

"MSRP is $829 for the standard model and $849 for the OC model ( ROG STRIX ) cards are the same except for programmed clock speeds. Keep in mind that our cards operate over-programmed clock speeds due to PCB design/power limits as well as low operating temperatures.
All intital allocation/avaibility will be on the OC model."

What chaps my ass is the ONLY useful information I've found about my order is from trawling hundreds of pages of forum thread and finding the odd morsel of information from some guy who spoke to a friend whose dad was told by support on the phone. Thanks for that OC. Top tier purchasing experience.

Please point me to where I implied or said it's his fault.
Just because he's a mod doesn't mean that I can't disagree with him and voice my disagreement - I might have been frustrated, but I haven't accused him nor insulted anyone. Yet.
