He's got no reason to lie, I was speccing him a new build and told him to get a 3080, but he'd be in for a long wait.

I'm in the queue for an Eagle so I'm a bit miffed as well.

Asus have said they're allocating everything to OC version first and didn't say when they plan to start letting non-OC trickle out.

Where did they say this? There have been non-OC cards going on sale elsewhere sporadically, that people have purchased.

I said I know that in many systems (including the one I actually work for), the process can be manual and the user can choose orders that get stock. I then go on to suggest it doesn't make sense to do this in the long term, because of the ill will it would earn for short term gains. So, please point out the part where I suggest they're going to do it? If anything, I'm saying they'd be quite crazy to do so.

They won't and have never done so, and you've repeatedly said this.

Just had my queue email I am in position 313 for asus strix. Anyone else had their queue email through? I ordered late on the 25th of September at 11am.

Well that is nice to know i'm not number 1000, I ordered mine on the 24th, so good chance I am under the 300 number, was this the non-oc or OC version mind you?

Now it would just be nice to know more or less how long it normally takes to receive said amount of cards.

That remains unanswerable, nothing is 'normal' right now.

The European distribution channel for all the manufacturers is empty and currently only receiving small air freight shipments that are going straight out as soon as they clear customs.

Hopefully larger volumes are on their way by sea by now and should be helping to boost volumes later on this month.
