Yes, because I don't care about those things. I buy a graphics card to play games.
This whole "superior Nvidia software stack" argument is just fluff and desperate claw-clutching to somehow "prove" Nvidia will always be superior and justify their inflated prices.
Isnt this a good thing as cooling the die is easier?
That's not what he said at all, infact there was no direct comparison made. He was explaining why on the PS5 it appears as though RT reflections were of a lower resolution, and used the 2060 super in an entirely different game to explain why it's necessary to hit a target frame rate.
He these also speculates the GPU in the ps5 is approximately the same as the 2060 based on specs.
You sound mad though, don't worry. Its nothing to be ashamed of that the 6900XT is slower than the RTX3080 in Ray Tracing.
Its good to see the hype train coming down, it wasn't long ago that some people thought these next gen consoles were going to be running AAA games at 4k 120fps with Ray Tracing that beats PC's of today.
Its just another rumour, but what makes you think this one is rubbish?
Let's hope RGT Paul can shine more light, er leaks. Somehow he has been conspicuously absent from the scene post the coreteks leak
Edit: typo
He's just looking for a reaction. Stick him on ignoreYou have (as Paul from RGT says many many times) to take @Grim5 with a huge pinch of salt. He now owns a 3080 and wont hear any of it - I tells ya!!![]()
Did that a long time ago, life has been full of bliss ever since. He's just looking for a reaction. Stick him on ignore.
What?? If you believe the nonsense you just wrote, than you have no clue. So I presume you wrote this in a hurry or while tired and made a mistake?

Yes, I posted that as well and that why the driver team had a lot of problems, Amd did it to themselves.I remember that, wasn't it because it was a mix of RDNA and GCN? Something like that.
20 CU's will be given over to Ray Tracing when required.
1. We can't compare Tflops across different architects.Hmmm.
80 CU = 5120 core = 20 TFLOPs FP32
20 CU = 1280 core = 5.6 TFLOPs RT
Well Turing RTX 2080 has 34 TFLOPs RT and Ampere RTX 3080 has 58 TFLOPs RT.
Guess AMD RT seem has very weak RT, maybe slower than Volta.
Haha is that so. The lengths that people will go to to validate to themselves their own purchasing decisions. If i had bought a shiny new GPU that was as rare as diamonds i wouldn't be frequenting the forum of an upcoming rival GPU. Makes you wonder....
Yeah you know what I mean, you can sample some of the posts over the past few weeks it takes no brain power to see the patterns of naysayers, stirrers and the like. As you say, what does a proactive brand consumer need to be in a chat about a rumour thread in a rival product?
Fits his narrative so what do you expect. Grim being grimhmmm rein it in a bit. I doubt many were saying next gen consoles would be doing 4k120fps across the board. In small indie games maybe, but most of us thought 4k60 was the target and certainly possible in plenty of AAA games. For me all I wanted was solid 60fps, if that's with 1440p or even upscaled to 4k from that then so be it, but I just want locked 60fps with a resolution bump from last gen which is easily possible looking at the specs.
No. Although I had to travel back pages and pages as you seem to reply to stuff days later..
You quoted Richdogs post which was this:
I read it you were having a dig at the long time till they are on sale, I was pointing out the nvidia timeline seems the same (announcement till release) trickling down the stack, cant really say anything other than it looks standard to me.
- Navi21 3080 competitor will have 16GB VRAM and likely be as fast as 3080 in most things, but potentially not all. On sale around end November 2020 and priced at $549-$699.
- Navi21 3070 competitor will have 16GB VRAM and 8GB VRAM options and should be faster than 3070 overall. On sale around December 2020 and priced at $449-$599.
- Navi22 full-fat should have 12GB VRAM and be RTX 2080 Super performance or higher. Launch Q1 2021 for $379-$449.
- Navi22 cut-down should have 10-12GB VRAM and be RTX 2070 Super performance or higher. Launch unknown, priced around $299-$379.
- Navi23 may have 8GB VRAM and be RX5700 performance with much lower power draw. Launch Q2-Q3 2021, priced around $179-$279.
If these dates are accurate, I can understand why Nvidia have gone with a "fill yer boots strategy".
You're reply was a little baffling as I didn't specifically mention the "lower stack".I dont know how this amazes you. The flagship nvidia card was launched first, then the 3090 a week later. All a few weeks after Jensens announcement. The 3070 is not out yet. So why are you gurning at the lower stack AMD cards being December+ ?
NAvi21 being available in November is what they said all along..
