But it is what it is, we know the club is a shambles, I'm trying to look at the positives, of which there are some:

Cavani is an experienced prolific striker unlike anyone we have
Alex Telles is a very fine attacking full back
Ousmane Dembele (if it happens) is one of the most highly rated young players in the world, he's just struggled at Barcelona
Everyone is raving about that Traore winger as one for the future

As it stands I'd rather we were getting the above than nobody at all, at least this will inject some positivity, look at the impact Bruno had.
Alex telles yes good signing but the other 2 no way Cavani been available for months no one else wanted him didn't want to come to United in first place his agent said that a few months back saying he'd only go to United for the money
Dembele is at the worst Barcelona team for years is young apparently has a bad attitude injury prone maybe Barcelona's fault but our injury record ain't great and also didn't want to come to United if as I expect he gets injured straight away were back to where we are now no right winger Woodward is a clown as a United fan I hope I'm wrong but this is a complete shambles none of these players are ollies targets smells of desperation

Dembele is unlikely, Bouhafsi said it was off.

Yeah, looking unlikely at the moment.

I agree it's probably desperation and it's a very poor show, but it's better than not having them. You can't deny Cavani will offer something different. Martial and Rashford are not natural strikers. Ighalo is... meh.

I'd agree with Cavani is better than ighalo but not dembele if dembele is a loan wouldn't be as bad but to pay him massive wages and to buy him is a definite no from me as if he gets injured and with his record have you seen his record it's to risky and we'd be worse of than we are now should have got sancho in my opinion they have spent months on that deal and if rumours are true was done and then Woodward went over to try and negotiate a cheaper deal and it collapsed then it's a joke

I'd rather have Sancho too, but it looks like we aren't getting him...

Yeh I know mate were a total joke of a club I feel Cavani and dembele only coming for money time will tell though if were lucky dembele will fail his medical because I really do think were going to regret this decision I like Donny and think telles will be good signings though

This is just the beginning. We will be arsenal in less than 5 years.
Were worse than arsenal now mate look at tbe wage bill it's a joke this is why we can't get rid of the dead wood Phil Jones ain't going nowhere on his wages no one but us would have give him that contract

Yeh just shows how incompetent our board is

Our general wage structure is a mess. You shouldn't be so scared of losing a player that you pay them a wage that means they are unable to be sold if their form drops even slightly. I love DDG but currently he is only a good keeper. He is worth at most £150k/week. Goalkeepers are probably one of the most volatile positions form wise.

You need to think like Liverpool. If a player really wants to leave then you have to let them go. You can't just pay them an insane wage to stay. Its destructive to the other players and its a massive issue for the finances of the club. You can see the issues it is causing.

We have a lot of players on probably 50% more than their market value and we can't get rid of them without taking massive hits on their transfer fees. Those huge wages for average players mean our good players are on bonkers money for their talent.

Liverpool sold Suarez and Coutinho for huge fees and replaced them with arguably better quality players for much less money and avoided this issue. We should have done the same with DDG. We should also get rid of Pogba next summer.

Everton can get a run going under Ancelotti there is a real chance they could be title challengers.

People need to stop this Everton fantasy. They have played one team, Westbrom were in it until the sending off and Palace were until the 'penalty'. They won't finish top 4 let alone be title challengers. They have been turned around into a much better team under CA but far from having the depth and quality other teams have. They have no depth at all in strikers.

Anyone hearing any truth to these Gazzaniga to Liverpool rumours knocking about?
No idea if there's any truth in the rumours but I hope they're true and I don't even think he's that good. Adrian honestly terrifies me. It's not that he's fumble a cross or spill a shot but his over confidence with the ball at his feet is mental. Last season vs Southampton he gifted Ings a goal messing about with the ball, he cost us a chance at the CL doing it vs Atletico and there was at least another 2 times where he done the same thing and got away with it.

In other Liverpool news, it looks like all of Wilson, Gruijic and Shaq will be staying. No idea what happened with Shaq but his move seems to have collapsed and we're seemingly refusing to lower our asking price or accept loan moves for Gruijic and Wilson.

Yeah, Adrian makes a lot of mistakes but just like Lovren, it's not the mistakes that are the issue. Adrian simply can't play with his feet and he won't leave his goal line, those two weaknesses completely change the dynamics of our defence just like having Lovren bomb out of position to win a ball left a big gap in our defence.

If we don't sign a deputy to Alisson then surely we've got to try Kelleher?
