you'll need to wait until the 28th, I doubt we'll get anything concrete before then.So when is anything becoming out by AMD? ... Wondering if to buy something now or wait

I just hope we have something that has some compute left in itOtherwise I might be sticking to my 7 for a while. Mind you I could run the 7 and one of these. Perhaps put the 7 in the wifes r5 3600 machine and stick the new card in with my threadripper. I dunno i'm not entirely sold on a new gpu upgrade just yet as I am still running 1st gen TR and really my only upgrade path is probably 3rd gen TR. Then again all I have been playing are valorant, csgo and really that's about it on the desktop and both of them run maxed out at about a billion fps, perhaps ill play cyberpunk when that comes out as well but im sure a 7 will play that just fine. I've been playing more on my 4700u 13" laptop with an xbox pad plugged in tbh. 50fps with medium settings on Saints Row the third @1080p does the job. I think what i'm saying is I really don't care like I used to and wait far longer to upgrade these days. I moved from a 1090T to threadripper on the day TR launched back in 2017 and still nothing in my everyday workload makes me want to upgrade it or the 7. If this thing ends up being beastly ill probably end up buying it though.
The VII is a compute monster, i doubt it, its already been ripped out of RDNA1, the whole point of RDNA1/2 its to make them smaller and more power efficient, gaming focused, for that all the compute has to go....![]()

Since 3080's are weeks and weeks aaway anyway, I say no harm in waiting!
when the benchmark leaks are expected to start?
Hey, thanks.. are people hoping for AMD card to beat 3090?
We get an announcement at the end of the month mate. They could announce a release in November, December, January, who knows. Review's won't go live until release day, so months away most likely.
AMD are contractually obligated to make millions of relatively large APU's for the PS5/Xbox, from the limited amount of pre-orders it seems TSMC can't manage to fulfil all these yet. Add Zen3 eating 7nm wafers too that, and I don't see how they have much left over for big Navi. We'll see though!
Personally I don't really need a 3090 killer - ideally somethign around the 3080 performance and ideally cheaper. That performance would be a huge step up from my vega
Had an email from Game, as i tried to pre order an xbox series X, they state they will have more consoles available 22nd of October in time for tje release in November, so im guessing consoles at least are getting made
No one really knows were the performance will be as there have been very little leaksHey, thanks.. are people hoping for AMD card to beat 3090?

I'm hoping for it to be on the rough level of a 3080, which should be enough to drive 4K 60 fps comfortably, and that should be well over twice the Vega 64 performance so a good boost.
Well that's exactly what I'm saying. AMD have a little over 25% of TSMC's entire 7nm production capacity, but how that breaks down between the different processes we don't know. A lot of people are saying "well there will be supply issues and price gouging and nobody's getting Navi until next year by which time everybody has Ampere" like it's a guarantee, I'm merely offering the conversation point that it may not be the case because there are 4 different processes available to AMD to (potentially) pick and choose from. An example of which I gave earlier with the consoles being produced on N6 with Zen 3 and Big Navi on something else. Console supply would only be limited by TSMC's capacity to make N6 wafers, not sharing resources with Zen 3.
