Hahaha yes, but i think at this rate Nvidias likely to have more stock before AMD do. AMD stock everywhere for CPUs is pathetic, stores getting 20 cpus delivered with thousands of pre orders waiting, and AMD has to also churn out Playstations, Xboxs and GPUs,.

Just cant see them having any meaningful stock of anything for a good 3+ months or more.

I fully expect Nvidia to have a better stock situation by the beginning of the new year.

I sold my 5700xt, sat using a 290 ref card, while i trawl the net for another 2nd hand 5700xt lol to tide me over.

Just all round fed up with the situation, and as much as i like AMD i have zero faith in them being able to produce enough chips to feed all markets.

And im not willing to wait for them to get their act together.

I understand your postition but tbh if I were you I'd wait on the AMD CPU and go for the 3080 if it comes in first. The 3800X is a fine chip for gaming right now and you never know, you might find yourself saving on a CPU if you're getting the frames you need :)

Hmm, quite interesting - revisited the video on a 4K display:

I would not be surprised if Nvidia are reducing certain effects via the driver to get the better framerate. The blurriness of the textures is very apparent on the 3080 side, especially the last 2 pics.

Yeah there's quite a difference between those screen shots, i wonder how much faster the 6800xt would be if you dropped it's settings to match the visual quality of the 3080

GN or HU should do a comparison. If Nvidia is blatantly cheating then they should be exposed. Surely this can't be allowed in reviews.

You know you can put an Nvidia card in an AMD cpu system right.......

True but i wanted peak performance, so i wanted a 5900X and a 6800XT but if i have to wait 6 months, i'll take 2nd best which is Intel + Nvidia :) 3800X is decent, but Intel are still faster, and only thing faster AMD has is the 5 series.

If I were AMD or at AMD, I would make sure we take all legal and business steps to expose this 100% publicly, to prove it 100% and take our business that belongs to us back in our hands.

Unfortunately, the best AMD will do is to tell us that we are not their friends, lock the thread and ban us.

I keep seeing all the over exaggerated posts by AMD fanboys not trying to get an understanding of each manufacturers card and the possibilities of each side.

Literally you could bring a 4080 out from the future and AMD bois would be preaching a 6800xt is faster because better IQ and, just faster, because.
