No saltiness, I don't think the 3080 is better than the 6800xt and vice versa, there is places where each excell, the 3080 better at 4k, more features , uncertain future due to console architecture.
Some people want to make themselves believe things though.

Did any of you watch the video or just look at screen shots? In the video I (and the presenter) cants see any difference, other than Dirt 5 where he admits to dropping it from the testing suit due to inconsistencies.
It's like when an 8k texture pack get released for a game, in the screen shots you can see a difference that doesn't translate to in game play visual improvements, and I think both Green and Red teams are clutching at this point.
It doesn`t matter if you can`t notice the differences while playing. If it is true that Nvidia image quality is worse, it means their FPS performance is much lower than what they want you to believe. You can lower some settings on the AMD card and get more FPS and the image will look the same as the image from Nvidia Ultra settings.

While many would say they can't see much of a difference when it's in motion, the fact is that texture LOD differences can impact the framerate. Even a minor improvement in fps can make the gpu look better in reviews and comparison videos. AMD and reviewers need to look at IQ differences and call out Nvidia if they are indeed dropping LOD for more fps. It's blatant cheating if true.

There is a big difference in IQ between left and right. Anyone can see it. If that is youtube's fault or Nvidia really gives lower quality for better FPS, that should be investigated.

There are many reasons a 6800 XT would be better than a 3080 but this isn't it. A YouTube video isnt a proper way to analyse the finer details and if I have to stop and take screenshots and squint to see differences, its not something which would influence my buying decision.
I am just waiting for CP 2077 to come out so that when benchmarks release, the NVIDIA trolls get something to spam this thread with.
