*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

@ScottiB I appreciate you are trying to get through as many messages as possible and this is not fun for anybody but - I paid for my card with £450 ISH in overclockers credit and the rest on debit card. Theoretically if I don't get a Asus TUF non OC card ( being in position 230 . how would my refund be handled , don't really want my refund put back into OCUK if I'm completely honest . Thanks for all you've personally been doing keeping us in the loop and answering questions .

I honestly couldn't tell you. As I said to another guy a couple of hours ago, the intricacies of our payment systems are beyond my realm. You'd be better asking that question in our customer service section of the forum.

When they put the zotac on general sale it actually made me quite angry that they did not offer an alternative to people who have already paid for their cards. You should serve the customers your have before accepting new ones.
I completely agree I as really annoyed at the time. That was the point I realised that Gibbo only cares about making more money oh and bragging

I can't really answer that, it's not 'my' stock since I'm the SI manager, I don't have the authority to decide what to do with it. We'll probably have a 'meeting of the minds' during the next day or two to work out what we think is best but I'm sure that, whatever we decide, there will be some people who don't agree and get upset, there always is. (there's already two differing opinions on this one page)

I won’t be upset if the decision made “doesn’t go my way” - I’m just holding onto what little hope I’ve got of seeing a 3080 this year :D

Hi there

To let you guys know cards which are not currently listed like the Suprim Cards and there are some others, we are currently building up the stock piles.

Once those stock piles are built up I shall then speak with CS and we shall make one of the following decisions:
- Contact customers waiting for an MSI 3080 Gaming X if they wish to upgrade - ONLY possible if CS have the time to do so, right now zero chance, but in a 7-10 days we hope the craziness may drop off.
- Put Suprim online but at like £3000 and then offer a voucher code to bring it to a fair price, which will be posted on forums, however I cannot make voucher codes, so would be an IT requiest, if they are too busy then its not possible.
- Put Suprim cards live once stock is built upto 100+ and drop a heads up on the forum and hope you guys manage to get one.

We are quite limited in what we can actually do, due to software/backend limitations or relying on other departments to implement changes.

The last option is possible but we shall aim for option 1 first, then fall back to option 2 if 1 is not possible.

However as of right now we won't be listing any 3080's of any brand until closer to Christmas, we need to try and build stock up and then see if we can implement option 1 or 2 above.
Those asking about 3070's yes stock levels are building up, again closer to Christmas we will put them live and only mention doing so on forums.
3060Ti we have a lot of stock built up and all being well we will put live sometime next week, again with a forums heads up only.

On AMD front, we will again put some stock live before Christmas, but numbers are tiny, those interested in 6900XT we have only around 160 cards which we may put some live end of next week, again with only a forums heads up.

We are trying to do the best with the tools we have to hand, but at the end of the day the supply is woeful.

I cringe when a distributor says we have 10pc for you, I am like I need 10,000 to meet demand for just a day. Supply needs a massive miracle, to get on top of things.

it's not a permanent situation, we're just incredibly busy at the moment, you know Black Friday, Xmas, way too many launches...oh & trying to stock up before we crash out of the EU....they all mount up...

and if you think a multi-million pound company with millions of pounds worth of stock can just up & move you have absolutely no clue about the reality of business.

Maybe not got a clue :) But you could have told people you do not have the facilities to meet demand and that this has been the case for months - save a lot of people a lot of time and heartache waiting for their expensive tech. I would have thought in a lockdown with businesses closing down all over the place that storage/warehouses would have been perhaps easier to manage. Have you even made any progress into moving the business since demand ramped up 3 months ago if this is the only solution to your stock issues?

I do not have a business but I know I cannot carry 2 pints of water in a one pint jug.

to clear up any confusion. Gibbo has told you what's confirmed by the distributors this week. There are no Ventus on that delivery. However, today we had another update of stock from MSI which we've been told will arrive before Xmas (they haven't landed in the country yet). There are a small number on that..ten units retail stock and another few units which Gibbo can take from my SI allocation.

& don't get me started on Brexit. I'm confident that shipments won't stop, it just might be a bit more complex and slow.

Thanks for clearing that up but it still does not confirm if you will have 3080 Ventus cards. Gibbo mentioned in that post that it looks unlikely that there will be more 3080s.

Im getting really mixed signals here from you both. Unless I can get confirmation of Ventus 3080s before Christmas then I might as well just cancel.

Hope that's at least 13 units :D

Also from Ireland.. worried that no deal Brexit means import duty and other fees on top of what I paid for the card which might honestly bring the cost to more than the card is worth, but I've been waiting nearly 3 months and it would suck real hard if I had to cancel

I still don't understand why OC has only had 30 Strix OC's while one of your competitors has had a good few hundred. very much feels like we backed the wrong horse here. Especially as they're expecting more before Christmas, and you're not...... why is OC's line with them so much worse than others?

Would you be offering the same option for those of us waiting for a MSI 3080 Ventus 3x OC? I know I probably wouldn't qualify because I am a US customer, but I am asking for those on that list that can have the opportunity to receive an upgrade.

Why only Gaming X customers? You seem to have received far fewer Ventus.

I got those cards weeks ago, I collected a few weeks of my SI allocation and then all of those cards were sent to a third party last month, they are building the systems for us right now (we don't have the capacity currently) and we expect to get them back next week...we then give them a quick check and put them in stock.

I've explained the whole 'SI allocation' thing a number of times in the last few days.

Having to re-explain the basics over and over in this thread isn't good use of anyone's time. I suggest you could write them into one of the 'Sticky' threads as an FAQ.

OcUK is taking steps, you will see changes have being made to launches, drastic changes. 6800 AIB cards were not launched, 6900 XT not made available and then cards are made available once the website traffic has returned to normal and we have stopped taking back orders.

In hindsight if we had known that 3080 would have such a supply issue we would never have taken back orders or allowed ordering but thats hindsight for you and is why I made the decision to launch product differently as demonstrated with 3060Ti, 6800 AIB and now 6900 XT launches. Of course to not allow people buying from us resulting in them shopping elsewhere is not the solution we wanted but right now we need to do what we can to stop the crazy over selling.

As I say in hindsight if we had known we would have not taken any back orders at all, its cost us money and created massive work loads for sales/CS departments.

End of the day the 3080 launch was expected to be strong, but it was absolutely bonkers.

We live and learn, we have learnt and hence why were now launching product differently and avoiding taking backorders wherever we can.

Ventus was an MSRP SKU or close to it, the Gaming X and Suprim are not MSRP SKU's not even remotetly close. Simple fact is no matter what decision we make we simply cannot please everyone.
Based on what your saying then surely the fairest option is option 3 or option 2 with a discount code and then those who re-order first get one of the limited amount.

10,000+ people want a Suprim card, we have only 100ish, so no matter what we do, to please everyone is impossible.

The only people who can truly solve this are the manufacturers, they need to manufacturer more cards and then make sure those cards land into the hands of resellers selling to gamers.

That's good to hear, from a customer perspective it's been a crappy experience. Not really at the fault of OCUK as far as I can see. You've clearly got your backs to the wall.
I don't regret pre ordering, at least I don't have to comb the internet for availability constantly, nor do I need to worry about the price going up... But I can see from your perspective it's so much more hassle than it's worth. I think it's safe to say consumers and retailers are entirely fed up with the whole situation.

This seems fair. I really, really, really want a suprim, (I'm a sucker for that backplate), but at the end of the day as long as these and other new models are going to alleviating the queues, then in one way or another it's going to help us all get a card sooner.

So I am 41 for a 3080 Palit Gaming Pro (non OC) and I can’t work out if I should wait or look else where... like how long am I expected to wait for this card? Months? Weeks?

this sounds like I am mad but is a genuine question...as I’m not sure what my next step should be
