Cyberpunk 2077 Ultra performance

Whilst my 3070 Gaming X is pegged at 1980mhz at just 58c, it is becoming clear that perhaps I should have waited for a 3080 card. I drop down to 45fps when walking around outside his apartment building.

Not sure I can justify an 'upgrade' after less than 2 weeks ownership though......

3440x1440, Crusty old Core I7 6700K plus 3080FE, DLSS Quality and everything cranked to max with RT on High. Has been butter smooth so far even during intense combat. Will still wait a few weeks before playing more have to finish Star Wars Squadrons and Legion. By then should
be a couple more patches in place.

Be interested to hear how it runs/looks if you don’t mind?
Tried it, performance felt pretty good (I can't measure the framerate) at max settings, including raytracing,1080P with DLSS performance. The only problem was the game looked quite blurry no matter whether DLSS was on or off, but that might be due to high load on Nvidia's servers.

I fiddled so much but decided for my 3080
4k
Everything maxed including rt
Chromatic aberration off as it made things blurry
Film grain off
Ultra performance dlss
Looks the best to me
70-80 fps

Vega 56 running at 1080p here with the Ultra preset (mixture of high and ultra for the various settings). Turned off grain and motion blur.

Not progressed very far and have no FPS counter on screen.

Looks and plays ok to me!

What would you have to drop the settings to, to get around 80-90fps?

Not sure.. pretty much any combination of settings with RT on (even lower RT quality) seems to be within about 10fps. I've not tried with RT off.

Edit: I'll test this tomorrow :p

Ultra performance dropped the image quality quite a lot on other games I tried, lots of out of focus. I haven't tried it on this but was pretty noticeable drop on cod and WD.

On New call of duty they say ultra performance is only for people aiming for 8k.

Ryzen 3600 OC using CTR to 4.3ghz (gold sample, says 1usmus), aorus RX 5700XT at 2050mhz GPU and mem at 1840 MHz, power at 150%, 16 GB 3200 MHz ram CL 16 unfiddled with.

1440p runs at 65-75 on medium. Radeon Chill to 60 FPS and doesn't seem to drop (GPU hovers at 90%).

Trying High drops it's some 15 frames, Ultra another 15-20, and ain't nobody got time for that console experience.

Will give this a miss until 6800XT reference cards become a thing. Might mean I never play it.

I'm using a 5600x and 3080 at 1440p. I think my graphics settings are all stock for the 3080 and I'm getting anywhere from 55 to 85fps. I'm interested in the uplift a 5900x would give but haven't seen a comparison yet.

SO I made some changes, set the DLSS to Performance, turned down Cascaded Shadows and things were a bit better with FPS staying mostly above 40 when i used to get dips to 30. I ran Afterburner for a while towards the end of my play (Just finished the briefing about the job in the quiet room at Afterlife) and max GPU temp was an entirely reasonable 71'C for a MSI 2070 Super Gaming X Trio. GPU usage, of course, hit 99%. CPU Core temps on my i7 6700K were varied but one of them hit 75'C briefly. The game took up 10GB of my 16GB RAM and filled my VRAM on the GPU too. The game still looks amazing to me and I had to stop on the freeway to just look around.

I'm running 3700X, 64Gb 3200 C14, 2080Ti (custom loop) and play on the lounge TV (LG C9).

Tried maxxing all settings at 2160p/120hz and it was like watching a stop-motion film being created.

Knocked res down to 1440p and Ultra settings (no Insane modes) and it performs much better (obviously).

I didn't think I'd cave to the temptation of upgrading my GPU so soon - but then I do have an extremely hungry screen.
I'll hold fire until the first few patches are released - I've been excited to play the game since it was first announced all those years ago, so I'm not going to let a few missing pixels spoil my enjoyment of the game.
