Cyberpunk 2077 Ultra performance

Unpopular opinion of mine: the game's actually not that good.

Of course, people won't admit that since it's been hyped to hell and back, and loads of people have been "preparing" their systems for CP77 or using it as justification to buy a next gen console.

I am thinking the same, hype and visuals made me purchase but the game its self isnt all that.

I usually put my faith in Hardware Unboxed as I love their settings guides. Hoping they'll have one out soon.

My 2080S is doing okay on a mix of med/high/ultra at the moment, without RT. Just wish my sodding 3080 would show up...

I'm only a few hours in, but very much enjoying it. Gun play is strong, melee has both light and heavy attacks with block and parry thrown in. I love steath in games and this one caters for it, backed up with interesting hacking oppertunites. Exploration is a joy though I'll admit I would have preferred a much darker setting. Also the adult side should have been handled in a more mature way, but given the way society is headed I can see why it's presented as 'in your face'. What parts are you not enjoying?

Wots the best settings for FPS.
With my 2080Ti and @ 3440x1440, I left it to choose and it put everything on Ultra pretty much and I am very happy with the performance and looks. I turned of film grain, motion blur and that chromatic thingy but left everything else at ultra. I sit at an average of 60 fps and feels very smooth on my G-Sync monitor.

I will be targeting 60 FPS or thereabouts at 5120x1440 so hopefully should be achievable.

I'll be looking to turn a few things down most likely to ensure i can get FPS as high as possible as i hate low FPS. :)

Best leave RT off or maybe on lowest settings then :p

By the way, not seen my vram counter go much above 9GB so far and that is with everything on Ultra, including RT :D;)

6800 or 6900 not tempting you?
Poor fella can't even respond as he is suspended. Let me do it for him.

He is very happy with his 3090. He says the 24GB VRAM comes in handy as 16GB just does not cut it :p

Yeah that's auto disabled in every game so far and this will be no different if i want to achieve 60FPS at 5120x1440.

Hoping i can max out most of the other (non blurry) settings though.
Yeah, I turned off all the settings at the top under Basic Settings. To me all those make image quality worse. So image quality is more Ultra having them off imo :D

Does anyone know the difference between DLSS Quality, Balanced and Performance?

Don't care for the lowest one, Ultra performance is it? Not even tried that one.

It is weird, but while actually playing it is hard to see the difference between DLSS Quality and Performance for me. I get like near 60fps by sticking DLSS to performance, where as on Quality it is in high 40's but dips into the 30's when in the most demanding areas.

Not done a proper test so wondering what others think. By the way I am on 4K so that might be different to the experience people on lower resolutions have. But I am surprised by how well DLSS Performance does at 4K relative to DLSS Quality.

Just watched the Gamers Nexus video and DLSS Quality is 1440p upscaled to 4K and DLSS Performance is 1080p upscaled to 4K.

Ooooo nice screen. Do you get fisheye at all? That is the one thing I noticed with running 3 screens back in the day, especially on some older games
Good question. :D

At first it was a little weird as it is so wide but coming from a Ultra Wide 3440x1440 display helped. To be honest, once you get used to Ultra Wide it is so difficult to go back to a 'normal' screen.

For gaming Ultra Wide is simply the best imo, as long as the game has a FOV slider as you will want it at 120 or thereabouts. I went from 4K 31" > 34" 3440x1440 > 49" 5120x1440 and I have not regretted it all. That said, if you play old games you will have some problems.

Not sure how this screenshot will look on your display but to give you an idea and a picture of the display itself.

If you are considering a monitor upgrade, Samsung just released the new version of this display, the Samsung Odyssey 240HZ 5120x1440, will need a GPU with HDMI 2.1 though.

EDIT Sorry for the OT. :o

Coming back to Cyberpunk, how is your CPU scaling? Anyone playing on 4 core?
