Good chance i think, but this is just a guess on my part.Random question - What do you think my chances will be on a 6900xt in march? I'm thinking march is when to buy.

Best chance of RRP is from AMD. Don't want to link or say anything else about it as I've only just served a ban here.Yea im thinking March is the time. Dunno why i'm feeling that but I'm thinking I stand a much better chance at MSRP then. Patience is what I need.

But the reference 6900xt doesn't look good enough. Maybe you can wait till April and try to buy an AIB close to MSRP.Honestly ill have a look around March and see whats up. I'm not paying a single penny over MSRP so I guess we see what happens come March.

To you perhaps, to me it looks fineLook, I own several Radeon 7's, take from that what you will.
I'm buying because I want one, not because I want to benchmark one and determine that there is a 3% difference between x and y. 20 years ago I cared - Today I simply don't. I just want the best hardware from my favored brand (yes look at me openly admitting I don't but NV).
As you get older like approaching your 40's you care less about what other people think or even what they deem as a "better" option and do what the hell you want.
I am not talking about benchmarks. 6800xt is a great reference card but the 6900xt reference looks a little worse since it is using the same cooling/TDP. Why wouldn't someone buy an AIB card with a better cooling solution/higher power limit if the price is right?
If its msrp ill buy it. Although I won't buy Asus and I wont buy MSI. They don't deserve any of my money.
Same as AIB 6800 XTs, but the AIBs have higher TDPs so they can hit the higher clock speeds.Starting to get specs of AIB 6900xt - ones I've seen so far have same PL as reference
Post your 6800 XT scores in the Firestrike threads, faster than 3090’s comfortably.6800xt & 6900xt capped with max 345w and 2750mhz and 2950mhz. This should be accounted. When these limits no longer exist 6800xt performance will be higher than now. 3080 just can't compete with it.
6900xt is power limited card. 6800xt is power+mhz limited.
3080 & 3090 is almost unlimited.

There are 6900xt with higher power limits, the ones with 3x8 pins.6800xt & 6900xt capped with max 345w and 2750mhz and 2950mhz. This should be accounted. When these limits no longer exist 6800xt performance will be higher than now. 3080 just can't compete with it.
