*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

As someone above 1k in the Tuf non OC Queue i'm starting to feel quite hopeless about ever getting a card. Have been keeping an eye on the stock drops but due to my job im never quick enough

I'm at 308 with an ETA sometime late March, so you're looking sometime in May/June/July on present shipments :(

Are people still waiting for orders from launch day?

Definitely - still got hundreds of orders ahead of me too! :p

@Gibbo
We won't be re-opening ordering for taking pre-orders sorry. The additional workload it creates on the entire company is huge, to the point that other customers who are not chasing a back order can no longer get through to us easily as having thousands of back orders creates a huge backlog and huge demand on customer services.

In the end it becomes very costly, we have refunded thousands of orders now which is the last thing we ever want to do because it comes as a double whammy to us, not only have we lost/upset a customer to the point they cancelled but we have to pay the merchant processing fee both ways, refunding cost us money just as it does taking orders.

As such during these times we shall continue as we are which is only allowing orders for products with high stock levels to prevent over selling, and right now our primary focus is clearing the backlog, not creating more backlog, as we speak I am upgrading our 3070 customers who ordered none OC parts, to the OC parts to get their orders cleared, once this is done we then may consider taking new orders on 3070 on cards we may have lefr spare.

The situation in the market is dire right now, GPU is short across all GPU categories, not just high-end, CPU is in constraint and for the past 2-3 weeks we have being unable to order memory due to some IC issue, its not a good start to 2021 and we are hoping that production seriously ramps up.

Hi Gibbo

Before I cancel the order I have had since the 24th September 2020 for a Asus ROG Strix 3080 OC, if new GPUs such as either a 3080ti, 6800XT, or 6900XT become available are these going to be offered to those waiting for cards for months like myself before going on general sale?

I follow the technology space closely and I believe one of the reasons for the incredibly low STRIX fulfilment is down to the fact Asus know a 3080ti is coming and are therefore happier to see TUF cards sold but don't want to risk the reputational damage of a release coming so quickly for their high end ROG brand.

I have been a loyal customer for almost 10 years and want to support OcUK but there is a limit.

Kind Regards, Ian

Have 3080 cards started getting ships out yet from OC? Or have the not revived any new cards since new years still?

The market came back to work today, first working day since the new year and so far ONLY KFA2 have confirmed a shipment of 3070 and 3090s

The rest will report later this week.

Yes, I ordered in the first hour and still waiting
Same here, ordered 3080 Tuf non in first 2-3 hours, and I saw a message there is some ppl in 600+ queue just for this card, that's SO BAD launch, I never waited for anything longer than this GPU, once I had 2 months waiting time, was something from china :D this went way too far. We getting closer to the half-year Lol

Nice one @Gibbo for upgrading folks 3070s to get them out the door, fancy sidegrading my inno3d x4 3080 to any of the others so i get it befor 2022 ;) i joke... but please haha

@Gibbo While you're at it can you upgrade my 3080 OC TUF to the next model up? A 3090 TUF should be fine since these are in stock and all? Like the 3070 folks I've been waiting very long and you can now fix our waiting!

(hey if the reasoning applies to 3070->3070OC.. ;) )

Gibbo:

not sure if this is a joke but theres a huge price difference between a 3080 OC and 3090 compared to 3070 non OC and 3070 OC

Of course it's 99% a joke :p - but well like I said strictly speaking they are upgrading long-waiting customers to the next card up that happens to be in stock. Using that reasoning, hey why not.. :)
