*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Meredith really was an undervalued character, so much potential, so little utilised. SHAME.

I agree - I wonder if she was meant to have a greater involvement in the story. Also if you are not careful she will die too,so you won't even progress that far.
I am 106 hours in now and still doing side missions after getting most of the way through the main with old Tak' out there. Poor guy has been waiting DAYS in the same spot for me to turn up at night :p

He can wait longer, I need more exploration time.

I have now grown to just ignore the bugs and vehicles I just drive for necessity to get anywhere as opposed to in GTA5 where I'd drive a car because it handled well and was cool to power slide about the place with great control.

The two patches coming this month and next are supposed to be big ones fixing the bugs and improving performance. I will not start Corpo or Street Kid until those patches land.

My guy is armed to the teeth with perks and weapon specs, my revolver is not far off dishing out 2000 damage, a headshot is over 120k damage and my clothing has excessive armour yet even on normal difficulty some of the higher end gangs in the richer parts of the city can take you down with a single shot which is a bit annoying when I forget to quick save moments before entering combat.

I came to the point of no return, and the character will have to wait a few weeks at this rate. Got to finish all the side missions, etc.

Honestly, I was expecting her to play a major part in the game with how much you saw of her in promo material and being a confirmed "romance" prior to launch
Was very disappointed she was just a quick lay after the prologue. I actually tried calling her multiple times through the story to see if it triggered any more content

I managed to get her killed off screen and the bloke turned up instead. I honestly don't know how!

+1

I really wish there was a clothing transmogrification option in the game. At times I am surprised the enemy NPCs are not doubled down on the floor laughing, at this weird looking person trying to get into their base! :p

I know you can wear an oversuit on top - not sure if a Hazmat suit or bandages are an improvement.

I wonder how long they will take before the first expansion is released? Summer maybe? Looking forward to more content already :p

With Witcher 3 it was 5 month before we got the first expansion. So I am guessing maybe 6-9 months with this game as they have a load of bugs they need to fix and will also want to make sure the expansion is more polished before release.

I got this for Christmas but to be honest have only really started playing it since the weekend. With work and kids I don't get too much time to game. Am currently up to about 25 hours on this. I have just got to the part where I need to go and meet up with Panam and help her get some stuff back before she will help me.

So, I am really confused with this game to be honest. I am seeing on the map loads of side missions and things I can do. But, some of these missions I get killed straight away, more or less. I had one from Padre which was to kill a cop killer. Tried it, must have been 5 times, and just kept getting one shot killed straight away.

Is there a good YouTube guide anywhere that I can watch that explains how to level up effectively and what perks to invest in etc. I am loving the game but, for me at least, I don't think it does a good job of explaining how everything works. It looks so complicated to me I am not sure what I should be doing.

It is easy, just look at mission difficulty, in journal I believe it shows it. Only do ones that are moderate or below. Padre's area is the hardest so no surprises there. The more you level up and better gear you get, the easier it is.

I am level 50 and could take on anything with ease.

And just shove armor in to every clothing mod slot going.

I am nearly level 50 and have something like 3500 armor so bullets don't do a lot of damage.

Things like critical damage and critical chance don't stack anyway.

Yup, I said that before. Transmog would be mint.

completed last night

about 90 hours in total, including all of the side missions / open world stuff

it does get very easy by the time you get to level 50 but the story is good so its ok

ending structure is really good, loads of options depending on who lived or died during the game, what choices you make, you have have happy endings or sad ones or lots in-between, I chose Johnny/Rogue ending, then spend a few hours watching all of the other ones on the youtubes :D

by the end wasn't sure what V was actually after (other than living) or who I was - so went with Silverhand overright :p

really good mashup of lots of good things:
blade runner multiple endings
dredd megabuildings like "Peach trees"
mad max desert stuff
deus ex
System shock / aliens type corporations

not many bugs for me, odd thing like not being able to ADS but goes away with a save reload or on its own sometimes

Johnny - far more of him in this than I thought, thought it would just be a cameo or something
has a great arc to his story too from a pretty 1 dimensional anarchist / rocker the start

Jackie, Judy, Evelyn

really liked Rogue and Takamura characters as well - good writing and voice acting on those

When you are paying Maelstrom for the Flathead there is only 1 choice that keeps her alive out of the 4 choices you have so the game really doesn't want her to live that much :D - see Spoiler for the choices you can make.

  • Option 1. If you give Royce the Militech payment shard with out first decrypting it then Meredeith stays alive.
  • Option 2. If you give Royce the Militech payment shard but first you decrypt it which removes the tracking software and tell Royce that he's being tracked, then Meredeith dies.
  • Option 3. If you pay Royce using your own money, then Meredeith dies.
  • Option 4. If you kill Royce before paying, Meredeith Dies.

Fight with Oda game just fell apart :( was like it was buffering up my actions, reloads not taking, hitting a key too soon before some arbitary point the game was ready resulted in 2x delay until it would activate again, his health status disappeared so I had no idea how the fight was going, etc. etc. complete **** show.

At some point he bugged out and just sat in a corner taking sniper round after round to the head for a bit before deciding to attack me again then randomly just suddenly died.

EDIT: On another note is it me or on Steam is the game sending all your local saved games to the cloud every time you exit not just the ones that have changed - I have 173MB of saved games locally and it seems to be uploading around 180MB every time I exit the game!

Subtitle has gone now. It's been replaced by a crafting component covering half the screen.

Guess I'll restart the game for the 5th time tonight!

Had that a couple of times in later missions, just save/reload save worked for me. No need to fully restart the game.

Seems to happen if you kill the enemy netrunner at a specific time when they are trying to hack you.

so played vanilla GTA 5 last night for a few hours. The first 2 hours is basically drive A to B, do something basic, and just listen to witty banter. Driving is pretty good but not amazing. Combat is very basic and unrewarding. Graphics considering performance on a 3090 is pretty bad.
Motion etc feels like it's running at 30fps even though framerate is high. Lighting is flat. Textures are low. Facial animations and general movements can be really janky at times. I mean it's a game made to run on old consoles.
NPC AI, other cars etc are very scripted. Traffic often goes out of it's way to screw you over. Really unrealistic stuff happens all the time like the early chase the yacht stuff. It's driving at over 100 mph and just driving over cars and though other trucks.
Dunno why so many people try and compare CP to GTA5. Like totally different games.

Don't worry dude you don't need to justify your purchase to anyone in here, you're a smart guy who made an excellent choice and should be praised for it
