*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Just had my first what you might call boss fight... He just stood there not moving as I shot him. To be honest I wasn't mad. Combat is awful so it was nice to just be able to kind of skip it!

Finding some more "hidden" things in the bottom left of the Heywood (near where the undersea tunnel from Pacifica comes out), nothing to do with missions etc just found by looking around each building, back alley etc -
  • In a back alley behind some flats there's the remains of fight scene where a guy trying to get his daughter back from the Valentino's (info on a Shard) fought against 6 of them in a "Melee weapons only" fight before dying. All 7 people are dead and all dropped Epic quality Melee weapons
  • In a garage there's the tortured remains of a Police Informer with his story on a Shard.
  • A dead guy with a Shard showing that he was being attacked by some thugs and was desperately calling for Trauma Team after he was badly injured only to find his subscription had run out a few days earlier.
The game is filled with these little world-building things, possibly 100's of them across the whole map, which really are "fun" to find, once you finish completing every single mission, gig Police job etc.

Yeah there's 100's of shards all with world building info on them to do with the surroundings. When you sneak through most of the areas like I did, and spend more time running around the map rather than driving everywhere you find a lot of stuff. In back alleys and when you get double/high jump and can get onto the roof areas you also start to find a lot more unique stuff. There's one point where you're walking around the central area of the map where the really large expensive corpo skyscrapers are, and you hear a screaming in the sky above you, and a dude straight facedives into the pavement. I couldn't find anymore info on this but it leaves you wondering if it's some top exec who lost loads of money and threw himself out of an upper window in desperation, or some corpo hit job to off some competition or something. There's so many things like this around the open world and loads of pop culture references. I think there's a jab at half life 3 on a shard as well, called "No Life 3 - review" suggesting it was finally released after 50 years.

Sooooo many bugs!

Just done the heist. Just a few of them on this mission alone -

Jackie was just a floating gun for part of it.
Floor disappeared during the jump from roof.
I'm sure it was supposed to be cinematic but the Skyline was just interiors of buildings in some moments.
The same subtitle appeared at the bottom of the screen all through the mission. Jackie saying oh ha that's the ****... I don't even have subtitles on!
Enemy you have to kill glitching in the lift. Lucky I threw a grenade in there that somehow killed him.

What a game!

Meredith really was an undervalued character, so much potential, so little utilised. SHAME.

I am 106 hours in now and still doing side missions after getting most of the way through the main with old Tak' out there. Poor guy has been waiting DAYS in the same spot for me to turn up at night :p

He can wait longer, I need more exploration time.

I have now grown to just ignore the bugs and vehicles I just drive for necessity to get anywhere as opposed to in GTA5 where I'd drive a car because it handled well and was cool to power slide about the place with great control.

The two patches coming this month and next are supposed to be big ones fixing the bugs and improving performance. I will not start Corpo or Street Kid until those patches land.

My guy is armed to the teeth with perks and weapon specs, my revolver is not far off dishing out 2000 damage, a headshot is over 120k damage and my clothing has excessive armour yet even on normal difficulty some of the higher end gangs in the richer parts of the city can take you down with a single shot which is a bit annoying when I forget to quick save moments before entering combat.

Odd that you're getting all these issues, worst I've seen are trees bending further than they should be and floating phones.

Thing is I'm very tolerant of bugs, so if the rest of the game is on point I'll still enjoy myself.(it's 50-50 atm... I've just learned that even though they kept talking up the gangs before launch there ain't even a basic faction system?!)

I'm tempted to play through the mission again to see if the same happens.

All this takes place where the Gig "The Lord Giveth and Taketh Away" (you have to steal a Militech SUV back from the Valentinos and give to the NOMAD's) ends up as you eventually drive the SUV into a garage.

I've put all the images and directions in this Imgur link - https://imgur.com/a/11ovYN8
Wow dude. Thank you. You went into a lot more detail than one could have expected. Much appreciated :)

Subtitle has gone now. It's been replaced by a crafting component covering half the screen.

Guess I'll restart the game for the 5th time tonight!
Do a clean install of Windows while you are at it. I put around 80 hours into the game and not had as many issues as you have and you just started :p

The only differences between the three backgrounds are the intro and a few (very few) flavour dialogue options during the game. So unless you're roleplaying there's nowhere near enough difference between the 3 to warrant doing 3 playthroughs. And if you are roleplaying, that's blighted by the very limited dialogue options and the fact that V doesn't speak the words you choose in the dialogue option anyway. Roleplaying is rather light in this game. It's more of an rpG than an RPG :) I think a lot more of it was intended and then pulled out on the way as they increasingly scrambled to cobble together a mostly functional game to release. Maybe one of those big patches will put some of it back in.

Seems a very mixed experience for people bugs wise - on another forum someone has loads of traffic stuck half in the ground constantly and trying to drive on the pavement or into buildings, etc. killing their performance and nothing they can do to fix it.

I've only had 2 brief instances of vehicles half in the ground in 50 or so hours of playing personally.

I get the item pop-up staying on the screen every 20 minutes or so - usually goes away if I flick through the inventory and/or mouse over another item, etc. worst case reload a saved game and it has gone.

I'm getting loads of instances of enemy glitching out now - 6th street especially seem to like suddenly going invincible mid fight and Arasaka keeps forgetting I'm hostile.

Oh I did that a few months back. Can't underestimate how many issues that can fix... Let's face it though that's not the problem Cyberpunk has!

As I said earlier though I'm very tolerant of bugs anyway so I'll just plod on.

Yeah. I was just messing with you. I agree, just pot luck it seems as some seem to have more issues than others.

I did my clean install a couple of months ago also to get the PC all ready for Cyberpunk after I was done messing about benching my 3080 :)

That is quite annoying, was expecting a different style of story as seen by those respective character life paths instead of rehashing the same core story after the intro? So by that measure i take it just the first 6 hours until the intro title appears is different between the 3 life paths with the game in the current state?

Honestly, I was expecting her to play a major part in the game with how much you saw of her in promo material and being a confirmed "romance" prior to launch
Was very disappointed she was just a quick lay after the prologue. I actually tried calling her multiple times through the story to see if it triggered any more content
