*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

On the Map screen you can use the Z key to declutter it into specific icons only (i.e just missions, or just fast travel or just vendors etc)

At work now, will drop the map location and screenshots when I get back around 10pm-ish.
Cheers :)

I am so getting sick of the performance just randomly dropping 10-20 fps permanently, which is then fixed by exiting the game and reloading. It can sometimes take 30 minutes, other times 4+ hours...

I caved and bought it. I was going to wait until it was patched and patched and patched again until it became something deserving to be called a release version rather than a beta, but I've watched some video of it being played and I like the setting. I'm aware that it has exposed unethical practices at CDPR that I had thought they were above. I'm aware that the game is so badly bugged that I might or might not be able to play it at all. I'm aware that the game is badly optimised and might or might not run well enough on my PC (i7 4790K, 1070Ti). I'm aware that the minimum and recommended specs stated are a lie. I'm aware that the game is a badly done console port (e.g. limited key rebinding that might not work anyway - that's simply a deliberate insult to PC gamers). I'm aware that a substantial amount of features and content are missing because they were cut in a scramble to release the game. I'm aware that the AI is a joke and that various game mechanics are way off balance. I'm not going in blind.

But I got biz in NC, chooms.

Now I just have to find time when I'm not using the internet to download it. I live in a wretched hive of scum and villainy (Stoke on Trent) so no fibre here. 1.2MBps for me. So about 12.5 hours download time. Then another 2-4 hours download per patch, which should be happening often as there's a hell of a lot that needs patching.

Finally started playing it last night and got the prologue out of the way, still getting the odd little graphic glitches like floating phones but none of the major ones yet that require a reload, this is the GoG version.

So you live in Stoke on Trent and you bought a game about a dystopian poo hole full of mutants? [..]

There aren't any mutants in Stoke on Trent, so that part's unlike reality. :)

[..] interesting people are still smoking in 2077 according to the game i would have thought vaping would be in !

The world in which cyberpunk 2077 is set was created quite a while ago, long before vaping. 1980s, I think. So changing that would be changing the world lore and that would not go down well with fans.

Besides, smoking fits the setting. A foul dystopia of filth, casual killing and expectation of early death. Smoking fits right in.

I saw a really good video that made lots of good points about improvements that could be made. One of the things was about the constant phone calls I think he said something like just change it so the player has to call them which makes more sense to me but the one I really agree with is the loot system. Basically the difference that clothing makes isn't that great so just remove the armour rating all together, making it entirely cosmetic and tie it in to the mods you place in the clothing(why do tshirt have armour ratings anyway and why are two tshirt different?!). Seems like it would be a lot better to me. The amount of loot I've been picking up in just the first 4 hours is tiring!

Excellent bug, in one of the silverhand quests, where you have to get into a Porche vehicle, the car took off as i was getting in, knocked me over, i stood up with the 2 henchmen running down the road after me, me running after the car, unable to catch it.
LOL, awful, yet hilarious.
