There is truly no hope.
I mean, a £500 3060 ti or a £650 3070, ok its not great. But a £600 5700XT is selling?? The plot has well and truly been lost.
Honestly I'd like to see a crypto crash and miners who have paid these prices get backrupted and repossessed, because they deserve it. And as I said, I own a little too. Its messed up.

Mine cost £950 and I've had two years gaming out of it already. It's also still competitive with the 3070, which is now in spitting distance of that price. A 2080Ti bought in 2019 is looking like a better purchase every day.

I set up some watch lists a few weeks back on the 970 that i'm hopefully replacing today with a 3060ti and they were going for £120-140 and thats a 6 year+ card, which while still usable is to my mind a heck of a price.
Edit: Just checking now and I see several 970's for £145 to £179+ - madness!

This is what I've been trying to tell everyone. Prices have adjusted upwards. Theres huge demand. Its nuts.

Look at that american with 78 RTX 3080 for mining. Rmour is , miners are buying direct from Nv, and the financial data will show that next quater
The ones he had were all PNY brand, there's no way anyone could have got that amount of the exact same card without some back door shenanigans going on. It's hard enough to get ANY brand of 3080 let alone 78 of the same type.
I sold my Aorus 1080Ti extreme last week for £400 cash, didn't want to let eBay/PayPal get the commission, this was after seeing at least 3 identical cards selling for over £430!
It was a little present to my wallet after getting the 3090FE lol.
