I see this brand around London quite a bit. Kinda convinced they decided to see how many mamils they can get to ride around with P N S (note they missed some vowels) written on their lycra.
As with many of these things... They're priced and branded in such a way to be a 'Rapha alternative' to hook that part of the market. Quite a similar generally plain design using pastel kinda colours... They don't look that bad, but the prices are shocking considering how plain and boring they are.
So aye, PNS stuff I don't care how good it may be or how Londony pro commuter trendy it may be.... it can **** off!

Managed to pull/strain/tear my calve on this mornings ride.
Hope it's cleared/clearing up! Rest and recovery is best with any kind of strain/sprain/tear.
Does anyone have any recommendations for some 'medium' weight water/wind proof gloves? I have a pair of provis 360 gloves but they're a bit ungainly so only use them in the most extreme cases. Went out today wearing just my ski inners, and honestly thought my hands were going to drop off, couldn't feel anything from my wrist down once the fog had set in and got them nice and damp.
So looking for something that's fairly lightweight, that will keep my hands functioning in this kind of weather, without being too cumbersome on the shifters! So something between ski inners, and the provis ones I guess.

Woiuld need to know for sure which Proviz ones you have, but also have no direct expereince with them to know for sure how thick they are, or how clammy etc.
I used to use
DHB windproof gloves quite a bit but 3-4 years ago found they became quite clammy on me, so switched to Sportful as it was around the same time I switched lots of kit over to Sportful and have been really happy with them. I found Castelli quite expensive (although I own more Castelli jerseys than any other) especially things like their gloves. Sportful are not cheap, but a few quid below Castelli and very very similar so I took a punt and glad I did.
Prices are now all higher than what I recall, but
the basic essential windproof ones are very good gloves for the money. I paid around £15 for my V1 in a sale. I have the
SottoZero as my winter glove and they are amazing. Think I paid £40 or 45 for mine and was a good price for them. Very thermal, windproof and have ridden down to -10 in them (although much below -10 windchill my thumbs suffered). They're as insulated as my snowboarding gloves with less than half the bulk. But they do get sodden in constant rain. Had a 1.5 hour snowball fight in them yesterday and starting to feel damp and cold by the end. Was very tempted
by the Fiandre ones as they have a little less insulation but far more waterproofing but never ended up getting a pair.
But like I say, prices of them are pretty high at the moment, not to mention limited sizing. Shop around.
Galibier gloves are quite good too, got my other half a couple of pairs she loves (I really like the design of the Roubaix), but I never got on that well with the
Barrier ones I got myself, the padding bits where just a bit too thick and gave me an uncomfortable bump on my palm. Still wear them commuting sometimes but wouldn't do longer rides. Good for the money but comparable with other basic gloves from places like DHB.
yes you are right , I missed your thread, I'd previously seen a much more glamorous Lance film (need to identify it) but this is much more self-reflective,
and came out with more sympathy for the guy, salient that he didn't reject growth hormone having caused his cancer, an eye opener on the lifestyle too.
Will watch that and thanks for the prompt for that thread, must hunt some of those down.
Quite liked 'The Program'. Good to see in isolation to the facts and all the media hype around it even now. Gives a good account of it from Walsh's side and fairly impartial to the Armstrong side (considering it was written from Walsh's book).
I might have seen Lance, can't actually recall but know I've watched something more documentary-ish with him in. I recall quite a big part of it was about his cancer recovery and all the work he did for the charity side of things, which in my mind redeems much of what he did at the time. Equally I blame the culture and the sport back then at least as much as I directly blame him for what went on. But some of what he did afterwards to the other riders is utterly unforgivable and really shows what his character is really like...
will just make it worse otherwise !
