I will screenshot it laterGotcha ! Thanks for replying back.
If anyone with a nVidia card wouldn't mind starting up the game and take a comparison shoot that would be appreciated. just out of curiosity !

Yeah that's my thinking as well. Just not 100% sure on which side it is, drivers or the devs side. We'll see if AMD gets back to me, used both the Bug Report Tool and made a thread over at the AMD forums. Also posted over at Steam incase the devs do check there and hear something from them as well. Don't think there is much more to be done, part from waiting.Clearly borked, as your first shot is showing shadows for non-existent trees!
I could understand it if you were running a 3080 as that would be a sign of it running out of memory to render the trees.

Yeah, not sure if Matt still at AMD but gopod idea to ping him, even if he is not, maybe he knows who is the AMD rep that we had here, if they still around that is ?I tried to remember where that location was and failed.
Maybe do an @LtMatt, I think he still works for AMD.

It is where you have to kill some machines for the fire arrows, just at the start of the game. You also have that man that broke his leg and want you to find his daughter not far away.
Actually, here is a screeny of the map too. The buildings down at the "Place waypoint" indicator is Mother's Craddle and if memory serves me right the father and his daughter is waiting at the fire place across from where I am. Hopefully the map helps you as to where it is ?

Thanks for doing this ! And seeing this, it definitively something up with the drivers for the 6900XT then. I can't see any difference between yours and the one I took with the 5700XT.Yeh, that helped.
I'm running a 1070.

Anyone know how this is running on a 1080Ti at 4K on the latest patch? Just wondering if its around the 60 FPS range or not?
Was considering picking it up if the performance is good, if not I'll wait until I manage to bag an RTX 3080 to play with.

I couldn't get it to run 4k60 on 1080ti.
I went for 3840x1600 on console settings at 90% resolution and it was perfect 60fps and looked great.
Thanks for the heads up. Was that before the patches that improved performance or more recently?
must have been a month ago. Not sure about patch number.
If a month ago, then that was a previous patch. The game now has patch version 1.10 hotfix running. And for the moment, as posted earlier in the thread, AMD series 5xxx and 6xxx is having some problems within the game. That is recent enough for me to wait til I upgrade then, thanks again.must have been a month ago. Yes, as mentioned two posts above, no trees has vanished.SO has the second hotfix fixed the vanishing trees? That would be great, I would like to finish frozen wilds, great game.

Maybe time for me to continue with my playthrough now thenYes, as mentioned two posts above, no trees has vanished.
You can just load it up and enjoy the game ! Well, part from still having that 'Optimizing Shaders' still going each time you start the game though...
KSMI over at Steam Forum said:[ SHADER OPTIMIZATION FIX ] Well it's more so a work-around.
1. Find Steam Directory for Horizon ( Steam < Steamapps < Common < Horizon Zero Dawn
2. Set "HorizonZeroDawn.exe" as administrator.
3. Start the game with "HorizonZeroDawn.exe" instead of starting the game through steam
When you load into the game, it won't talk about shader optimization.
lord_locksley replied to KSMI post over at Steam Forum said:Holy bananas, this workaround did actually work!!! Thanks!!!
When launching the game from within Steam (or with the desktop icon created by Steam), the shader compilation happens every time; but if you instead set up the main exe to run as Administrator and launch the game by clicking on it, the Shader Recompilation is done just one time as expected, and any subsequent run reuses the cached precompiled ones!
Yay!!!!![]()

People at @Guerrilla, please be aware of this. It seems you have some kind of permissions issue when launching the game in non-administrator mode (the default mode for launching Steam games), which prevents something within the creation or reading of the Shader cache file...
