Nvidia is being optimistic at best, I can’t see anything changing any time soon. So much pent up demand alongside mining.
PC gaming is over as long as BTC stays above 20k.

This year supply and demand will remain the same. No one cares about brand loyalty anymore and would get anything they can get their hands on.
some of you might even consider paying bots to get a GPU
The only way that is resolved now is if supply outpaces demand which isn’t going to happen for a long time. You can’t just turn on a new fab, it just doesn’t work like that.
I think people are going to be stuck for a long time unfortunately. This virus had brought the world to its kneesinterestingly, nv actually sold double the amount of 3000 series as 2000 series when they launched, for the same duration. so they had 'normal' stock, but demand is just off the charts this time. partly due to the perf uplift and better price, and of course everyone spending more time at home.

Looks like this will be msrp for these cards pretty soon.Exactly. Plus shops and people which scalp, put these up at ridiculous prices which miners pay because it's pennies for them.
Also TSMC have been asked to prioritise supply for auto chips. 2021 will be a long year if you're PC building.
All of the above goes out the window if you are willing to pay £650-700 for a 3070 and £850-900 for a 3080.lol
Very useful for those looking to secure a card.

Yup, I was careful not to mention sales as the number it’s self isn’t really that relevant. The ratio between supply and demand is and currently the differential is massive.
I don't think the 3080 is a good overclocker. I picked up the FE at msrp and couldn't be happier with it. I guess there will be gains to be had, but seems most people look to undervolt if anythingI'm especially baffled by the premium for the 'OC' cards. I don't think they're a lot faster right? I mean FE's get around 1850-2000 depending. Don't think it's worth the extra personally.
Here's to hoping mate. I work in the healthcare sector and have had some of my staff in for their first vaccine over the last couple of weeks. With vaccines being rolled out I reckon lockdowns wil be gone in a few months. If countries do the right thing and immunise the elderly/at risk people first then death rates wil go down and things will start to get back to normal. The current rise is mainly to do with mining rather than just people playing games.
