What "man jobs" have you done today?

I am regretting the log roll lawn edging I put down a few years ago.
Looked great for a few years, but it is now starting to rot in places :-(
Cut your losses and swap it out. That stuff really is only semi permanent at best! I've gone for metal edging this time... Will see how it pans out.

Edit: garden waste wasn't taken last week, just tried to move the bin and almost put my back out. Turns out it's 75% grass and soil from a new border we desperately needed  I now get the joy of shovelling it out into rubble sacks...

And I thought my wife was the only one who loaded the green bin so much I have to use a trolly to get it down to the road.. :)

:D and its Mother's Day, like it's some kind of diplomatic immunity or something.

I have been looking at the metal edging funnily enough.
However, I expect that will rust & rot as well - unless it is galvanised (which I dont think it is)?

Can't link because I'm on mobile/app but I just realised the stuff I bought is plastic. Product is called smartedge lawn edging 5m. I bought it right at the beginning of winter so haven't unboxed it yet but reviews look good.

I will have to get the tape measure out, guessing I will need around 70 metre

My wife has been saying she wants a welly rack and after having a quick look and seeing they start at around £30, I decided to make one with scrap wood instead.

The base is pallet wood that I had laying around and the dowel was also left over from another project. Bit of glue to hold it all together and will paint tomorrow with some garden furniture paint I have left over, so it has cost me nothing other than an hours work.

As she runs trails in winter and comes back very muddy I decided to make room for her trail shoes too.

I kinda wish I'd have made it a bit smaller with the dowels closer together, but I didn't want to do much cutting so left the base pieces at the length they already were. I guess it means more room for things to dry.

At least put left and right the correct way you savage :p

I was going to say you could squeeze another dowel on there but then realised a boot holder for '5' boots isn't super useful :D

Is it plasterboard? It's quite easy to put the cables into the wall if so.
No it is solid unfortunately. I could channel but hopefully it is a somewhat temporary setup.

Can't go too far wrong. I ordered a few metres of length on Amazon for cheapish and cut to length.

Ah I went velcro:

I also got a desk pad:

However it is total crap - impossible to move the mouse, so ordered another genuine leather one like I have downstairs.
