Rocket Lake Review: A waste of sand...

Hardware Unboxed are reporting that the sales of Intel 10th gen are to clear stock, and get rid, suggestion being there may not be resupply, it might all be purely 11th gen for a while going forward, given the rebranding at the lower end.
Bit worrying for Intel, if they have just 11 gen left, and its so awful.
 
Hardware unboxed report that 11th gen are selling very poorly, pc part stores and distributors in Australia say it's the worst Intel CPU launch ever they are stuck with stock and in the US on Amazon 11th gen is far behind AMD and AMD continues to dominate the top 10 sales

I wonder how long they waited to catch a Rocket Lake CPU in the top 10 Amazon US list at all :D I've rarely seen it and if you look now there is not a single one in the top 12. Right now the 11700K is #15, the 11400 at #23, 11900K #39.

People with any common sense though would check a bench before waxing 500 quid plus though surely? Without hearing any positive rep that is anyway. And the 10900k got plenty of good rep for gaming despite its (imo) silly price

Well, some benchmarks weigh more on some peoples minds than others.

There's a thread right here about wanting the 11900k for the purpose of the faster m.2 drives.

Doesn't sound that great to me but it makes sense to them.

Oh for sure. I'm a total benchmark geek. I'll only ever buy something if its giving me a decent boost. But yeah faster ssd wouldn't interest me in the slightest. Even the difference between sata ssd and nvme at like 5 times the data rate is miniscule... Don't see why people would be interested in 11900k even if it was an extra 1000mb/s but yeah there's always some that like to have the best I guess.
 
Well... Usually with pc hardware the newest IS the best. I don't think I've ever seen a cpu, gpu or stick of ram perform worse than the previous gen. Its bonkers why the even released it. Must be terrible for their rep, its making them look like idiots really
 
All the YouTube guys are RIPPING into them. I actually feel quite bad for intel which is really really saying something lol
