My neck/shoulder is suggesting i need a sports massage. Going off balance occasionally from it is not fun :o

Also I find it highly ironic that I have a dentist appointment at 2.30 tomorrow and my tooth is hurting :D

I wonder how much Amazon would save by having less Customer Servuce staff with a brain.

I needed to return an item which cost £16. It’s heavy and the post office wanted £33. I spoke to them to confirm I’d still be refunded and they said yes.

It would’ve been cheaper for me to throw it away.

Are you sure they were definitely saying yes to refunding the postage not just yes to refunding for the item itself lol.

...

Did a 7 mile walk with family today. We found my dad's parents headstone in the cemetery in the village we walked to. My sis couldn't find it when she's looked previously but I remembered roughly where it was after visiting it 27 years ago. We looked at the dates and she said "granddad died in 56, that means dad was 26 when he lost his father" didn't dawn on me until we left...I was 26 when my dad died :(

Need to get some stuff to clean up the headstone now that we are the only family left. Still find it crazy that my grandparents were born in the late 1800s :o I wish I had had the chance to meet them. Would have loved to hear my granddad tell stories about the first world war. He got shot in the leg but that's all I know about it, from my dad

Tho it is quite certain that their intellects failed before they uttered their futile demands as the victors of the Peloponesian war - as hubris was the form of their demand. That we see modern sorts pretending to the same flawed wisdom on the same basis, we rightly conclude their fate by themselves was similarly sealed.

The error was noted well enough by Shakespeare in his MacBeth: the assumption that the laws of Human Nature are suspended to suit oneself is always a predictor of Tragedy.

One set of case fans has decided to suddenly stop being detected by the control software so now they're running but not at the speed I want and all the lights are off. I'm really not in the mood to be going back in and troubleshooting again right now

I hate Facebook marketplace. You put something on there at a low price just to get rid of it and you still get stupid offers.

I took down a small wall and offered the stones on facebook marketplace. I had loads of questions asking if i was selling the path (despite the title being "Stone Wall"

I also advertised a pile of soil. One guy turned up with a trailer but no wheelbarrow/shovel and then proceeded to complain my shovel was rubbish.

God dammit. I just went to buy some garden furniture from Ikea. It showed as available online, so i went to a site i use for discount vouchers and bought them. Went back to Ikea, got right through to delivery only to be told delivery isn't available to my post code.

I'm now stuck with £1000 of Ikea vouchers and can't just go somewhere else as i can't return the vouchers.

Son of a ***** that's annoying!

Shops are opening again soon, the only way to salvage it is to either deliver to a near by post code and you collect or use in store.

Yeah, seems to be stocking issues from what i can see with both Warrington and Manchester being pretty low. Hoping this Spring isn't like last year and everything is out of stock. Only minor plus point is it's a modular Rattan sofa, so i'll have to just grab bits as they come up!

Pondering a thread to ask the forum how much they have in savings but I know this place too well, could turn into chaos. :p Perhaps a poll 0 - £10k, 11k - 30k and all that. More to see how I compare for my age.

Haha it could indeed. Personally i don't care so happy to say ~14k, although i do have around half of that on 0% credit cards. My priority was to ramp up savings/investments first and just paying off the minimum on debt for a while till i got a decent buffer.

Yeah I wouldn't. :p

If you do a poll I think 0 - 10K is a bit too broad as well.

You might be surprised how many people are in the £0 - £500 category. Or £500 - £2000, £2000 - £5000, etc.

I also don't think this forum is a great representation, and people lie as well.
